I would have given a better review but whatever cleaner is used to clean the room is extremely overpowering and gave me a terrible headache! It smelled like someone spilled a gallon of air freshener..

Has a laundry room, but it closes at 10 pm. People are not very cordial to guests even ones with reservations. And had my wallet stolen, would not allow a third party to pay for another night, will not take cash, but will accept CashApp, Venmo, and Chime. Don’t get it.

Disappointing
Check-in was easy. The outlets in the room (other than the bathroom, would not hold a plug. There was an extension bar on one outlet that kept blinking off and on. The room was very cold and the heater either blew out nice warm air with a lot of noise or the room stayed cold. There was one thin blanket on bed and no comforter or such, so a very cold night unless I wanted to listen to heater go on and off. Disappointing for sure!

This was, by far, the worst experience we've had. The moment we walked in the room, it smelt of stale cigarette smoke and sewer. The ceiling was splitting in the middle and the tub had mold. The toilet was bubbled up and rotting. We drove our family other places nearby just use the restroom. Nobody should ever have to do that. We would definitely encourage all of you to stay elsewhere and do not suffer here and waste money like we did.

The toilet was not properly secured to the wall and was shifting, bathroom fixtures were rusted, the shower hot and cold water was flipped and if you tried to mix it only cold water would come out, walls in the bathroom had water damage and weren't patched neatly so it looks like the place isn't being maintained well. The air-conditioner/heater would either heat too much or not enough and at times couldn't be switched off.

I really liked that we were able to check in early the day of and was able to upgrade for no charge. The room is very basic though with no frills. Internet wifi did not work right and calling the tech support did not help. Our biggest complaint was the noise from the drag strip of a road in front of the hotel, which made sleeping impossible. Suggest a fan or noise machine for this hotel. Close enough to U of O so that is convenient.

Concert in Eugene
We traveled to Eugene for a concert at the Hult Center. The room was a close distance to the center. The people were very friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast is very simple with coffee, tea, juices, bagels and assorted packaged sweet rolls. I’m used to a regular breakfast when you pay these rates. All in all, it was a good stay.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic place to stay given proximity to the coffee shops, restaurants and overall central location in Eugene. I'm taking a star off because of the lack of/awkwardly placed outlets in my room not allowing me to charge my phone near my bed which I needed for getting places on time, and for my alarm. For for a non smoking room, I was placed right by an outdoor smoking area where I got wiffs of smokey air which is kind of gross. Overall, clean, comfortable, had a hair dryer and tea kettle which was a plus, and I would stay again!
