Fantastic Island Park Property/Experience
Our family of 5 (ages 17-70) recently stayed at the Soggy Bottom Ranch Guesthouse... And in terms of accommodations and experience, this was probably our very best in the 20+ years we have visited and stayed in Island Park. The property was everything it was described to be - and more... The living quarters were spacious, modern, comfortable, and fully equipped... The grounds were beautiful and well cared for... The fish were biting in the pond... And the views off the deck in the early morning, or late afternoon, were fabulous. It is a most peaceful setting.
Our host, Ike, was great as well... Friendly, helpful, easy to deal with, always prompt to get back with us regarding any questions, and made certain we were "good" once we arrived and got settled.
If you are looking for a great place & experience in the Island Park / West Yellowstone area, this is it... Definitely a 5+ star property... And as a footnote, there is a "main house" that houses 20 (maybe 22) if you have a larger group...
We will definitely be back... And if you are looking for a fabulous, spacious place for you and your family - or a group of friends - or a business retreat - you don't want to pass over this listing.
Thanks again, Ike!

Best VRBO experience ever
Soggy Bottom Ranch is the best! We stayed there six nights for our family reunion. Never a dull moment. On property kayaking and fishing. Yellowstone and river floating nearby. Incredible scenery. Cabins decorated so tastefully with themed bedrooms - moose, raccoon, deer, etc. Fully supplied kitchen. The “garage” kitchen seated everyone comfortably. Also great for crafts. We played baseball, volleyball and badminton! Also a hot tub. We rented both cabins. Firewood, firepit, marshmallow sticks and even fish bait provided. We will be back!!!!

Outstanding Location — Great Host
Our family of 7 rented the guest house at Soggy Bottom ranch and we could not be more satisfied with the entire stay. The guest house is clean and comfortable and really has a brand new house feel. Everything was super clean, very comfy beds and a fully stocked kitchen. One of the bathrooms was downstairs in the giant garage and we thought this may be an inconvenience but it was not a problem. There is also a full kitchen downstairs in the garage along with picnic tables. The Soggy Bottom Ranch is a secluded property with gorgeous views and lots of wildlife. Island Park is a dream location for anyone who loves the outdoors. If this property is available, you should book it.

Soggy Bottom Guest House / Garage
Beautiful guest house / garage. A great place to hold events such as family reunions, summer outdoor activities or just gather with friends and family. Great location in Island Park just minutes from many of the outdoor activities Island Park has to offer.

Wonderful Stay!
This was our home base for our Yellowstone visit. We have 3 boys ages 13, 13,12. We generally enjoy high end cruises and stays in luxury resorts/hotels. We are picky and spoiled peeps! Not gonna lie :).
Property: Very clean, owner was great about calling and checking in to see if we needed anything, the little fishing pond was super cute. They have a fire pit outside. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. There was extra bedding. There is 1 tub/bathroom upstairs with the rest of the living space. The other bathroom is downstairs...I might have overlooked this in the description. It wasn't a big deal. There are cows on a neighboring ranch so you do hear those at night but only if you keep the windows open (we enjoyed the cows and it didn't bother us). Also the fire pit is below one of the bedrooms so that could potentially cause noise (wasn't an issue for us). We were always in bed by 9:00 for our early 5am starts. The only things I would add to this property are the following: Hooks in the bedrooms, extra face towels, tissue boxes (yep super picky). Its pretty darn near perfect!
Location: It took us 40 to 45 minutes to the west entrance of Yellowstone.
This really was a different type of vacation for us and we were so glad to have this ranch to come back to. My boys enjoyed fishing in the pond. My husband and I enjoyed drinks/chips/salsa on the deck. It was great! Highly recommend and would book again!

Stay At Guesthouse
The guesthouse met our expectations & was clean! The surrounding area was beautiful! The only drawback was feeling like we were under constant surveillance! Having the big cabin next door did not offer the freedom we were hoping for !

Heaven
Coming in through driveway after driving all day, it was a beacon of reassurance. The highlights were the fishing and the kayaking in the pond, sitting on the deck in the morning and soaking in the hot tub (thanks for letting us). We had our itinerary set for touring Yellowstone but after staying the first night, it was tempting to stay and enjoy the property and the local area. Communication with the host was awesome and immediately we felt a connection of friendship. Would easily make this an annual family gathering. Great place!

Anything but Soggy
We came upon this gem when our West Yellowstone lodging was cancelled two weeks prior to our June 2021 visit. Due to limited availability in West Yellowstone at such short notice, we were relieved to find a new listing for the Soggy Bottom Ranch. We were to be the very first guests.
When we arrived Ike, the host, greeted us with a big welcoming smile. We walked through some details of the property and discovered that the kitchen lacked a corkscrew. Undeterred, Ike came to the rescue with a drill and saved the day! We provided a small list of things that would make our stay even more comfortable, e.g., a Keurig cup for ground coffee, hangers, etc. and they were all there the very next day. What an attentive host!
The house: Beautifully decorated, spacious, full kitchen to cook even the most elaborate meals (with a spare downstairs), comfortable beds/pillows, high quality linens/towels, deck for your morning coffee, pastoral setting. All the requisite necessities to relax and unwind. We took advantage of the full size washer/dryer for our dirty hiking clothes from our daily visits to Yellowstone.
One thing to note if visiting Yellowstone is your main agenda, factor in the 35 mile drive time to the West Entrance and back.
Treat yourself to the Soggy Bottom Ranch, we were delighted and appreciated the attention to detail the hosts put into this house.
