2025 Update: Glacier National Park is a popular destination for our guests. The park has announced plans for the 2025 ticketed entry system. It is HIGHLY recommended that guests visit the national park website for details. Vehicle reservations + an entry pass will required from 7am - 3pm for the West Entrance and North Fork Entrance from 6/13/25 - 9/28/25. New for 2025 is that the vehicle reservations will have a timed entry. Two Medicine & St. Mary entrances will not require vehicle reservations. Many Glacier will have construction during the summer. A portion of reservations will be available 120 days or approximately four months in advance, starting on 2/12/25, at 8 a.m. MST on a daily rolling basis. Next day vehicle reservations will be available at 7pm MDT for next day entry starting on 6/12/25 on a daily rolling basis. Passes can be purchased at the recreation.gov website.
If you are a winter guest, AWD or 4WD vehicles are highly recommended. The county plows the neighborhood, BUT when there are back to back storms they get behind. AWD or 4WD vehicles also give you more flexibility to explore more of the surrounding areas during the winter.
