The oceanfront view and beaches are spectacular.
The grounds are well maintained. Now I am not one to complain but the condo does not have air conditioning. I overlooked that when booking. I have stayed in different hotels in Maui that are ocean front and we normally leave the balcony doors open and the ocean breeze is suffice and I also run cold, however that was not the case here. We slept on the living room floor (which is open to balcony) because the bedroom was so hot.We figured it was because the condo had been closed. There was no relief because there was no breeze whatsoever. The bedroom is enclosed so it was exceptionally hot in there.
The fan only had one speed which was low and it did nothing. We were pretty miserable and decided to give it another day to let the condo cool down.Although it did cool down a bit, it was still so warm in there that we decided sleeping on the floor a third night was not a vacation we planned for.I ended up emailing the management company and letting them know that the fans only ran on low. The balcony door was off its hinge so we didn’t even try and touch it in case it was broken, the shower mat/rug had an actual foot print (not shoe, a foot), a dirty towel had been left at the front door and never picked up, and I also let them know we would be leaving because we were just miserable.
The day we were leaving, we were in the process of cleaning and sweeping (we are clean freaks) and there was a knock at the door. I opened it and it was what I assume two women from Management ( they did not introduce themselves) The first words out of their mouth was, “oh you’re still here?” In my mind I’m thinking, “ Well good afternoon to you too”. But I simply told them we were just cleaning before we left and asked them if they wanted to come in. I’m assuming they wanted to see some of the items I emailed them about but no, their response was, “no we’ll come back when you’re gone since you emailed us about your complaints”. They were so rude, I couldn’t believe it. I honestly didn’t expect a refund but some manners and understanding would have been nice. At least take a moment to acknowledge what I emailed you about for improvement purposes. The other staff there were all friendly and helpful. So in conclusion: great beaches, great view, good condo. No air conditioning, no breeze (the 2 1/2 days we were there) and the two management ladies can definitely take a course in hospitality and manners
