All in all, a pretty safe, quiet, and comfortable stay. The facility is rather old. It is set up 'lodge-style' with universal window air conditioners and doesn't have an elevator. I would recommend they work to install an elevator and transition to central air. The latter is especially important since the area has high heat and high humidity. The window AC worked, but seemed to fluctuate between too cold or too hot/muggy. The front desk staff was especially nice and considerate.

Always an amazing stay. Rooms clean, staff very helpful and friendly. Nice indoor pool and hot tub, with a little patio area outside. Incredible breakfast. Wife and I prefer staying here when we get the chance.

We had an issue with our reservation not crossing over from Expedia. The staff member, Jameeka (I think was the spelling), was great and very helpful. We were just having one of those nights after a long drive. The place looked nice, especially for an older building. I kind of feel like the carpet had just been cleaned in our room. It was a little musty and the carpet was a bit damp but was tolerable. The shower was a bit slippery and the water pressure wasn’t great but it worked. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the fridge was cold. Breakfast was more than we were expecting after several days of disappointing motel breakfasts. They had a juice dispenser with orange and apple, coffee, cereal, muffins, toast, waffles, sausage, eggs (little omelets then scrambled eggs and cheese, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bananas, cuties, oatmeal packets and yogurt. I was quite impressed. Overall it was a much better experience than our last few days and both staff members we interacted with were very nice.

Great place to stay. Was under renovation, bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Tub was very slippery. I spoke with the person in the next room over. Had the same issues. I’m sure once renovation is complete those issues will be taken care of

Nice place no elevator

Nice place. Clean room, bed was firm for my taste but not terrible. Hotel has 2 floors and no elevator so if stairs are a problem might not work well. Check in was super easy. Plenty of parking.

This is a great place to stay in Atchison or anywhere! From the front desk - Calista and Jen both went out of there way to answer questions - like when I couldn't figure out the lights. Jordan took care of our room like it was her own home! We'll be back when our son graduates next year - we're on a long waiting list so we're not the only ones who love to stay here. Oh and a REAL breakfast including eggs and waffles.

Local Project Accommodations

I just arrived on Tuesday April 2 late. Had requested a ground level King room when reserving. Got a call day of travel that only Double queen was available. 16 hours of driving that day, when I arrived, a King Room was waiting. Room was clean and well furnished. Only one night stayed so far, which may lead to a full month stay.
