We have stayed at many cabins in our travels and this was, by far, the best. It is well laid out, has a great kitchen, it is stocked with everything you will need and it is in great shape. There are plenty of cooking utensils, spices, etc. We didn’t lack anything.
The cabin is on a small property between two other cabins and right off the road. I’m a big fan of complete privacy so I was a bit concerned by this. But, there was almost no traffic on the road, no one was every at the one cabin and an older man was at the other cabin but he was quiet so we barely knew he was there.
There outdoor area is very nice with a beautiful porch with a couch, chairs and a propane fire table. There is a very nice grill and darts and horseshoes outside too.
We went swimming at Howard Prairie and Hyatt Prairie lakes. They are both a bit rough because the low water levels means it can be rocky and muddy leading up to the water. I would recommend going to Hyatt Prairie. We found a decent spot in one of the campgrounds.
We stayed here for a week and were sad to leave. We would come back in a heartbeat.
