The front desk lady was incredibly rude at checkin, including beginning to call up and help the family in line behind me before my credit card was even back in my wallet. The bedding in the room was so gross and when we called to ask for fresh (for us to change ourselves) she told me I’d have to wait because they were in the middle of shift change and then hung up. Well, they never came. My husband went down to the front desk over a half hour later (after 10pm at this point) and she said “whoops I forgot” and was down there chatting with other staff members. We will absolutely never be staying here again.

Sheets on the bed were not clean and one bed had a large blood spot on the blanket. Floors were dirty and stained. Staff at check in were friendly.
This is my second stay here and I love it staff is friendly rooms are nice.

Disappointed stay
For the price i paid thought the carpets were very dirty. The zipper was broke on the matress protector so it was not closed. The curtain was off track and there were dead flies on the ledge by the window. I also found 2 stink bugs crawling on the light by the bed. My cold water did not work in the shower, had to go shower in another room. Breakfast was good, but could use more hot items. I was a little disappointed because i have always had nice stays at Hampton. Probably would not stay here again.
The woman who checked us in was not friendly. She barked orders of needing my driver’s license and credit card. I was already in the process of getting them out of my opened wallet. I felt like I was bothering her. She never smiled or spoke nicely.
On arrival to our room, we are not able to turn on the a/c. We call down and she tells us she will come down. She goes to the wall unit and physically bangs on it and yells come on. She rushs pass my elderly mom and starts banging on the wall unit. My mom go up, she did not feel safe next to this women. She tells us we will need to switch rooms. She will bring the new Keyes back.
She then calls us to come and get the Keyes. She had 5 guest waiting. O one seemed happy. Beautiful hotel but the service we received marred that for us.

The breakfast was very nice. There was a wide variety each morning. It was nice to have different options each day. It was always perfectly clean and tidy. Well stocked and nothing was ever empty. The person that was in charge of it while we were there was on top of everything. He had a great, friendly personality. Very helpful and kind!
Likes: The property seemed very clean except for the stains on the carpet in my room and also in front of several doors in the hallway. The coffee and sausages were pretty good, however, the pancake batter was flavorless as were the scrambled eggs. I liked the fall decorations they had at the entrance: pumpkins, lights, artificial leaves. They also had packets of cider that you could add hot water to.
Dislikes: The refrigerator was not cold. It was no cooler than the air temperature of the room, no matter how I adjusted it. This was particularly stressful for me because I had medicine that needed to be refrigerated. The best I could do was to put ice in a bag and lay it on top of the medicine. I’m not worried that the medicine is ruined. The valet cart was in horrible condition. Because of that it squeaked and rattled and made so much racket that I felt awful for disturbing all the other guests as I took my belongings from my car up to my room. Because it made so much noise and I didn’t want to disturb people again, I took all of my belongings out bit by bit when I left.
Friendly staff, easy check in and clean. The only thing was that there didn’t seem to be a charger or outlet near the bed. Something in the base of the lamp on the night table looked like an input but didn’t work.

I have stayed every year at least once since it opened and this was our worst experience. Breakfast was still above average, but orange juice was empty.
Rug in the room was filthy, room was damp, bathroom floor was dirty, shampoo hanging in the shower was empty, not enough towels and washcloths for the number of guests, room was not cleaned during our stay, mattress and pillows were uncomfortable.
