Beautiful property
The cabin is on a beautiful piece of property. Our family really enjoyed our stay. A few negatives: upon arrival a note was on the fridge/freezer saying out of order. We understand that sometimes things cannot be fixed immediately, especially because our stay was right after Christmas, however, communicating the issue before our arrival would have been appreciated. A mini fridge was provided, but it would not have been large enough to store food for our family for the whole trip. The microwave was also not working. The grill, in our opinion was dirty and not taken care of. The kitchen has an ant problem so be careful with what is on the counters. Several windows were open when we got there

What a great property! My wife and I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the stream. So quiet and peaceful. House was very clean and had everything one would need. Absolutely will stay here again!

Perfect get away to find some rest
Sitting on the deck so close to the creek was amazing! The house was comfortable but the internet connection was a little inconsistent and made streaming shows and movies difficult.

Great cozy place
The stay was amazing with river at your back door and if you have kids they will love playing in it. Very nice rooms and restroom . Kitchen fully stocked. Would come back.

Beautiful Property and Surroundings
The property was lovely. The house was nice and it is surrounded by forest and a river. The hot tub, river and woods provide hours of fun for curious kids. Lots of books and some games were provided. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the cool winter air. The hot tub did have some trouble staying hot (probably due to the cold temperatures outside). My only complaint is with Wilscot lane. It is a one lane paved drive going in and out and it is steep. There is almost no edge to the main road so going in and out of the property was unsettling.

Perfect spot
This was an amazing trip. Some things went sideways during our trip but coming back to this cabin at the end of the day calmed us down wonderfully. Yes some things are dated but it adds to the charm and simplicity of the place. Would 100% recommend and rebook.

4 night stay in late October
A wonderful getaway :) We spent our days relaxing by the creek, drinking coffee on the porch, hiking the nearby trails and exploring Blueridge. It was the perfect place for my family of 5’s annual fall vacation.

The property is amazing, but we couldn’t even take showers, brush our teeth, use the faucet water because the water smelled of boiled eggs. It was so bad and incredibly disappointing.

So much fun
Such a beautiful area, the property is amazing! We really enjoyed the creek and hot tub. The gazebo is fantastic but we didn’t spend enough time there. I saw a few reviews where people mentioned the trees or the “power washing” of the cabin. Sure, there might be some areas to improve, but it’s literally a cabin in the woods. I’m not sure what people expected but we were very satisfied and had no issues, just don’t walk on the welcome mats without shoes and don’t drink alcohol and walk close to the railings. Haha We set up a projector and watched a documentary by the fire pit, it was really wonderful. My friend group wants to make this property a yearly rental!!!

Nice property
The entrance is dangerous. There were HUGE holes in the road if we were traveling in small car we would have been in trouble. Hangers and blankets would be nice. The sink had extremely low water pressure so the water trickled out. Overall, a very nice property for a quick getaway.

Serene Stay
This was a lovely home with all the comforts I needed. There is the wonderful stream that runs beside and then away from the property. It is quite the serene view. There were rhododendrons, boulders, and a forest as far as I could see. The short but steep gravel driveway off of the main road was a bit tricky, but I managed. I saw no other neighbors and liked the silence and remoteness. I had a lovely, peaceful stay.

Possibly the most beautiful property in the county
The creek and the way the house is sited on the property is marvelous. We simply did not want to leave the deck - listening to the creek took all our cares and stresses away. Once you climb the few stairs from the parking area, there are no indoor steps so great for those with some physical limitations. The open living:dining:kitchen area has more lovely views of the creek and woods. The shower is a bath combo so it’s a fairly high step-over, and no grab bar. We did not use the hot tub nor grill. Yes, there are spiders & other flying and crawling critters - you are in nature, not a sealed box. And when the hickory nuts drop, you may have a cartoon moment or two. The only reason we won’t return is due to the “driveway” - getting to/ from the paved road is very steep gravel, and there is very little stopping space to check for traffic; we don’t have a 4wheel drive vehicle nor the confidence to do this again.

Peaceful creekside cabin
Very quiet - at the end of the road. No traffic. The creek provided such soothing tones. Not far from Blue Ridge and restaurants. Cucina Rustica Restaurant serves amazing Italian food - expensive but so good - in Morganton. Southern Charm Restaurant in Blue Ridge has good vegetables.
