Rodent in our villa terrible guest relations
The level of service here was the absolute worst I have ever seen. I am in the travel business and have definitely seen a wide array of client service and by far this was the terrible. Let’s begin with the fact there was a rat/mouse in my children’s room. My daughter was traumatized seeing it scurry around and came screaming down the hallway. We called the pine villa manager on duty that night and he indeed caught the rodent with my 3 children screaming in the room. They moved our room but we had wet laundry and dishes for my kids sports tournament running so we didn’t actually settle into the new room until after midnight. This all of course comes after we got our room keys later than the promised 4pm check in time as well. Additionally when I was waiting for the call for our room to be ready the front desk charged my credit card 2 times. When I called and asked why they processed a charged over $10K they just brushed it off and said oops that was an accident and confirmed they did so with their accounting contact. We waited and waited for the general manager to contact us all morning and even with me messaging them they called to acknowledge the rodent at 12pm the next day! They said they could only give us bonvoy points which translated in dollar amount of $166 which is a joke. The right thing would be to take off the first night from our folio!!! We would have been fine paying for the other 4 nights but that 1st clearly should have been on Marriott NOT us! Not ok!!!!
