Are you sure the hotel is open???

Place looks abandoned when you drive in. Outside is run down. No elevator (at least that is what I was told when I asked). Pool closed old light fixtures in rooms and lighting very dim throughout the room. The mini fridge was not clean at all and even had dried pools of soda inside. There was a musty smell in the hotel from the minute you walked in the front door. Limited outlets accessible for charging devices. The furniture and decor was very out of date and not well maintained. Bed very uncomfortable - felt like sleeping on a bad sofa bed where you can feel metal through the mattress. I do not recommend and would never stay here again.

Hotel Transylvania

I rarely leave a review. This place was as bad as it gets. I booked a room last minute, i didnt check the reviews. We pulled in, i thougbt it was an abandoned building. The parking lot was empty, graffetti on the side of the building. (Im always an optimist). I went inside, it smelled musty, dusty and old. If it was Halloween and we wanted the spooky feel. This would have been perfect. We checked in, and hauled our laugage to the second floor.(no elevator) We got to the room, eeek mustard yellow old, dingy blankets, the toilset was used and not flushed. I got out of there quick as a whipp. To sum it up, dirty, dingy, grungy. It your looking for a spooky sleep with a knife kinda night. Book it!

CT Wine Trail stay

At first glance, the property looks abandoned. We drove right past it. There was a restaurant attached, but is now closed, hence the empty look. However, upon check in, staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfy. The hotel is right off the main road and in walking distance to restaurants, and Olde Mystick Village. Good value for the $$.

Appreciate allowing us to check in early, for the Expedia price it was not worth it. However staying for hotel price you get what you pay for. Front desk help very nice on check in. Basic room amenities. Cleanliness of room not top tier. No ice machine, minimal towels, pool out of order, no breakfast, very old carpet and dust chandelier. Can leave out side door no lock not safe. Gym room 3 items did not see and arcade. Very dated it’s a last resort accommodation hotel. The staff extremely pleasant hotel basic price is excellent.

2 years ago I stayed here(the price was right) I stayed in a separate wing which was recently done over and nice. This visit I stayed in main building which was really outdated. When you walked in room, you could not turn a light on, you had one small light between beds so room was REALLY dark. The toilet had to be flushed 3 times to get solids down. I told desk clerk, but he said simply to hold handle down longer(which did not work) my friends stayed in different room which had extra lighting, but their towels had old stains on them. The front of building is not lit up, it looks like it’s not even open. I can see they are struggling to stay open….but until they fix up things, I would not recommend this place.
