Watch out for no seeums!
Great location, beautiful views, adequate accommodations, nice pool & beach area, quiet neighborhood. Had an infestation of no seeums in the king bed, upholstered furniture, & all our clothing, bags & vehicles. Forgotten Coast was very helpful. They sent out an exterminator which seemed to take care of the problem, but spent a lot of time washing linens & clothing & attending to bug bites. BE PREPARED!! Hopefully it will not be a problem for future guests.

Just what we were looking for!
For our vacation this year we wanted someplace quieter, a little less commercialized, with good beach access, & where we could include our dog. Some friends recommended Indian Pass, and we found this property with available dates & a good rate. It was just about everything we hoped for. This house is set in a quiet little neighborhood, two streets back from the beach (about a 2 minute walk), but backing up to a marsh. I particularly enjoyed taking the dog for a walk on the beach at sunrise, then sitting in the screened-in porch drinking coffee while watching the birds in the marsh. We actually spent a lot of time on the back porch reading & playing board games, even though the house has very good AC. We ate most of our meals at the house, taking advantage of the kitchen. The nearest actual grocery story is a 20 minute drive into Port. St. Joe, but there is a general store just around the corner from the house which stocks most of the essentials. The beach was great, not too crowded, with moist, packed sand that was easy to walk on & not too hot. We only had two minor issues about the week: a) the weather, which is always a gamble in FL this time of year, and b) the relatively weak wifi. If more than a couple of us tried to log on at a time, things really seemed to bog down. But since one of our goals this trip was to unplug and unwind, the WiFi issues probably helped us to spend less time on devices & more time interacting. We’ll definitely consider staying again.

Great Location But Needs Work
The location of the property was terrific, short walk to a wonderful beach. The property needs work. The wood railings outside were rough with lots of splinters. There were nail heads sticking out of the wooden stairs. Inside the house the window coverings did not fit the windows and some of them had broken controls so they could not be adjusted. Some windows had no coverings at all. Both of the TVs were useless, no channels and the sound was out in the living room and the bedroom TV did work at all. The Internet was slow and nearly useless. When we did a speed test it showed 1.5 meg, a very slow speed so we could not stream anything. There were bugs all through the house, spiders in the couch and roaches in the kitchen drawers. There were screws sticking out of a wood cabinet in the bathroom that were easy to get cut on. The bed is very high but comfortable. The appliances were very old and did not work well. The house had an overall cheap and dirty feel to it. The owner had construction materials all around the outside of the house. This property is not a premier property and only deserves a 2 star review.

Better than you’ll expect!!
My partner and I stayed at Sunny Daze for 5 days. I had stayed at this house with my family when I was a teenager, so I was ecstatic to re-visit on my own with my partner this time. Do not pay attention to any of the reviews about not having enough dishes, not having easy check-in, etc. Those reviews are WRONG. This place had a plethora of food utensils, dishes and cooking appliances. Check in was NOT very far away and provides a good look around the coast as well. This house is perfect for a couple’s getaway, or for a family vacation of two parents and two children. The walk to the beach is short, but I do recommend bringing some sort of cart to transport beach supplies. The pool was well kept and very pleasant with plenty of shady palm trees. The screen porch overlooking the marsh is fantastic for a romantic evening. The master bedroom mattress sleeps like a dream & I wish I knew what mattress that was so I could buy it. This house is so bright and uplifting and open and fun. 10/10 experience.

Very happy with the house and our stay. Very quiet neighborhood and excellent community pool. All dishes and utensils were provided. Internet worked well. Master bed is a very comfortable memory foam mattress. Only knock is the bathrooms needed curtains or blinds.

Motel 6 quality
The outside of the home is extremely neglected. In need of some major cleaning. So outside sitting was not an option. Lacking in utensils and cups. Having to wash dishes every couple of hours is not an ideal vacation. Bathrooms lacked window coverings but some were put up before we left. In my opinion I would pay extra for something cleaner and better equipped.

Great Location, comfortable house
The location what exactly what we were looking for, short walk to the beach and pool access was great! We enjoyed the privacy the area provides. There's limited options close by for dining/shopping but very reasonable drive to either Port St. Joe or Apalachicola for those options The house was very accommodating for our family. On our stay was me, my husband, 5 yr old son and 2 fur babies. The beds were comfortable. The master bed is really tall, which posed a problem for me being 7 months pregnant and on the shorter side lol, but I made do and slept wonderfully once I got up there! Plenty of towels, silverware, kitchen ware. To check in, you will have to get the keys from the rental office in Mexico Beach - minor inconvenience, a lock box set up would be nice. Be prepared to bring extra TP, paper towels ETC. For cooking, you will need everything from seasonings on up.

The place was nice except a few things to note: Spiral staircase is dangerous with no slip pads on the steps and very steep, the master bed is so high it is hard to get in & out of, the internet took 3 days to get fixed and the dryer went out after drying 1 load, the beach isn't as close as it appears online. Had to travel to a friends house (45 minutes each way) to work remotely and dry our laundry. On a good note Forgotten Coast was very receptive to our internet & dryer issues and did the best they could to recitify the situation and even provided a partial refund due to the issues.

Good value for money
Pros - Location is ideal, close to Port St Joe and Apalachicola, the best 2 towns in the area. Beaches are great, wide with plenty of room to stroll and uncrowded! Short walk through private, community boardwalk. Private and quiet. The view out over the marsh from the screened porch in back is wonderful! Linens were very nice, towels and sheets. The downstairs king bed had a great mattress with foam topper. Just like home. Open floor plan from kitchen, living, dining to porch. Cons - Spiral staircase to 2nd bedroom and loft and no bath upstairs! Kitchen was minimally stocked but we ate out most of the time but would matter to a family. The bedrooms had no surface to put suitcases or any other items and no chairs to sit to dress. My group was 60+ so the stairs were the biggest issue to us. It stated that in the description but I mostly studied the photos and overlooked that point. My bad.

Great for a quick Fall getaway!
Great little house, had everything the 2 of us and our 2 fur babies needed. House was as expected based on the description. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. House was an easy walk to the beach. Community Pool was great for the windy days and had it all to ourselves. Management was AWESOME, got us a super early check in and easily extended our stay by a day when we decided we weren't ready to go home! The NEGATIVE- t.v in the bedroom did not work, didn't report it because we aren't huge t.v fans but it was the World Series! The check-in process was a pain, had to drive all the way into Mexico Beach to pick up a physical key and back over there when we checked out (about an hour extra of driving each time). Would highly recommend a keyless entry. We would definately rent here again!

Anniversary get away
My husband and I enjoyed the house and location. It was a short walk to the beach and short drive to the boat ramp. The king bed was very comfortable. And the property managers were helpful with our late check in. The house was a little stuffy when we arrived. Also the ice maker dumped ice all night the first night which kept us awake. I think they shut everything off between renters. I would also bring extra hand soap and dish soap next time, as only body wash was provided. I found the check out dishwasher policy ridiculous. They want all the dishes cleaned and PUT AWAY before you check out at 10am, no time to run the dish washer and no soap to wash by hand. Also we didn't mind, but the TV in the bedroom didn't work. Overall it was a great house for a couple or small family. We plan to return, but will be better prepared next time.

So close to the water, clean pool where we saw newly no one else. Private pretty beach. The house is as advertised, even prettier in person. Not a lot of options for food near without a 20 minute or more drive. However the Indian pass raw bar is right there and great baked oysters and atmosphere. Only 1 use of laundry and dishwasher soap and garbage bags provided so bring extra. Would for sure rent again!

We were a party of 3 adults in town for a wedding. The house was nice with a kitchen that met our needs. The upstairs area got a little warm, and the carpet up there could use replacing. The screened porch in the back was nice, and the community pool and beach access were a short walk and uncrowded during our stay. It was a peaceful and secluded area.

Peaceful Perfection
This stay was the best vacation we have had as a family. The house was clean and spacious while having a comfortable feel.. The beach had a secluded and private atmosphere with seashells everywhere. The pool area was super nice. The house is close enough to Port St Joe and the Cape to be convenient but far enough away feel off the beaten path. The screened in porch overlooking the marsh was where we spent the majority of our evenings. The only negative would be that the yard was slightly overgrown and there isn't a enclosure around the outdoor shower but we weren't there for the yard so it didn't bother us. If you are looking for a quiet family getaway full of quality time this is your place. We will definitely be back!

Birthday week
Booked this property specifically looking for a quiet, not crowded, stretch of beach to enjoy two birthdays and an anniversary. The property was clean. The property was visually as described. The beach was remote. The pool was clean and honestly, saw two other people all week using it. We brought our dog with us. The yard was more than adequate in size, but our dog really enjoyed the long walks on the beach😂. Although not on the water, it is a very short (2 min walk) . We had double reds all week, so the pool was very appreciated. The location is great sitting right between port st joe and appilachicola, so it wasn’t hard to get to restaurants and grocery stores. This is not Destin.... there isn’t much in terms of entertainment. There is no putt putt, no go carts, no night clubs. But if a sparse stretch of beach and a little shore fishing is what you enjoy, this is a great spot for that. Great blue crabbing as well near Indian pass. Bed is super soft memory foam that I personally like. This is a two bedroom 1 and a half bath that would sleep a family of 5 comfortably. You could easily put a few more on couch, roll away etc. great week!

Perfect low key, dog friendly beach get-away
Perfect for our needs. Very cheerful. A plus to have both the privacy of the marsh view from the lovely screen porch and still be just a block from the beach. Neighbors very friendly. Pool area at the beach was immaculate as was the home. Beach lovely, wide and sparsely populated. Excellent for a dog. Water was often murky but there were numerous unseasonable thunderstorms during our visit that likely roiled things up. Only negatives were that the property was not as well-appointed as some rentals and the grill starter didn't work so we had to forgo the barbeque planned for the first night until we could purchase a lighter. All and all a great experience for those not requiring their rental to be spit-shined brand new.
