Going into it, I knew it wasn't going to be a lavish condo, but in the photos, it looked clean and in a good location. The check-in process was extremely smooth and their customer service was great. The location was great but it was dirty and we found a cockroach in one of the beds. There was food on the walls, stains on the comforters, and the utensils and other items in the house were greasy. I couldn't sleep after we found the cockroach so I text the rental company and someone responded immediately. She was super helpful but she didn't have the authority to do much about the situation. We talked on the phone in the morning and she was wonderful and sympathetic to the situation and let me know that a manager would be calling in the morning when they got into the office.
No one ever called. We thought about finding a new place to stay but the options were super limited and we were only staying one more night and didn't want to go through the process of packing up, moving, checking in at a new location, and unpacking again during our one day in Tahoe. So we lived with it.
We got this trip as a gift to our friend's for Christmas, none of us get away from work very often, if ever, so it was a real treat to spend a whole weekend all together but I was pretty disappointed in how the condo turned out.
