Vineyard Mansion & Carriage House - Benjamin-huone

Tervetuloa historiallisen Vineyard Mansion -huoneiston Benjamin-huoneeseen. Tämän kiinteistön rakensi vuonna 1890 kuuluisa arkkitehtitoimisto Eckel ja Mann Benjamin R: lle. Vineyard, joka oli merkittävä asianajaja St. Joseph. Vaikka se on jaettu 1940-luvun huoneistoihin, se on hiljattain palautettu alkuperäiseen käyttöön ja olemme valmiita toivottamaan vieraat rentoutumaan kullatun aikakauden loistossa.

Benjamin-huoneen kaima on itse omistaja. Tässä tilavassa huoneessa on king-vuode, jossa on ylelliset lakanat, mukava oleskelualue ja vaatehuone. Lisäksi kylpyhuoneella varustetun kylpyhuoneen avulla voit ihailla antiikkista, jalustalle tyyliä olevaa pesuallasta ja rentoutua upeassa, sorkkajalkatynnyrissä.

Vineyard Mansion -hotelli sijaitsee Museum Hillin historiallisella alueella, St. Joseph tunnetaan upeista, viktoriaanisen aikakauden koteistaan. Ympäröivä kävelymatka tarjoaa tarkkailijalle kauniita esimerkkejä Italianate, American Foursquare, Queen Anne, Tudor Revival, Second Empire ja Bungalow / Craftsman tyylistä arkkitehtuurista. Kiinteistö on myös kävelyetäisyydellä monista nähtävyyksistä, kuten ravintoloista, baareista, taiteesta, kulttuurista, puistoista ja St. Joseph-museo, joka sijaitsee aivan kadun toisella puolella.

Vineyard mansion

Large room/bathroom with beautiful antique furniture. We stayed in the Benjamin room. Was a bit chilly in room upon arrival. We asked the property caretaker about how to adjust heat (old time radiators in room but they were not putting off any heat) she seemed to adjust the boiler thermostat but it did not make a difference. Found out that there was supposed to be a space heater in room from another guest and after texting the request to a number provided in host instructions they brought one to the room and it made the room comfortable. Also looked like old dried urine drips on toilet seat upon arrival- they did have clorox type wipes in bathroom cabinet so I wiped everything down myself. Place is within walking distance to old downtown St. Joe and we enjoyed dinner and going to Missouri theater and not having to drive or get an uber. Security to rooms and parking seemed fine.

Our stay was good. We didn't realize this was in a rebuilding area. Even so, walking the few blocks to Civic Center for the KC Chiefs Red Rally wasn't difficult. Check in was simple, bed was comfy!!!

Overnight getaway

The Benjamin room was spacious and comfortable. The room was clean and the antique decor is lovely. We enjoyed a game of pool and watched a movie in the parlor. The host was friendly and responded quickly when we needed assistance.

Wonderful Anniversary Stay

Was a beautiful home with so many relics to look at in each room. So well preserved as in its original state. Was very comfortable & so many varieties to choose from for breakfast. And loved all the variety of plants throughout the house.

Great Location!

This is truly a step back in time! We stayed in the Benjamin Room, which had it's own bathroom and a small upstairs porch where we could sit outside. It's an old house but remodeled. We had complete access to the lower level, although it was more as a curiosity than actual comfort. We got up and made our own pot of coffee in the morning but went out for breakfast because we wanted more than just toast and pop tarts. They also had yogurt and some fruit. Also, there are LOTS of steps so travel light!

Beautiful place!

What beautiful property! The old and original home decorations and furnishings are wonderful. The whole home and property manager are so welcoming, its like a wonderful home away from home. I loved the stocked kitchen that was free to use, perfect for me as I waited for my fiancé to join me. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lovely, unique, and historical place to stay!

Large quiet room

A Unique Opportunity

An amazing experience in an 11,000 sq ft mansion under renovation, but you won't be bothered because the floor you'll be on is finished. This house is resplendent in antiques, comfortable furniture and a beyond fully stocked kitchen in which you can prepare your own meals; the food choices are countless. The range is gas! There's a laundry on site. We stayed in the Benjamin Suite and it had a very comfortable bed and multiple electric outlets. You'll never find this kind of BnB, so grab the chance and take it.

Perfectly accommodating

This lovely property is perfectly accommodating with extremely comfortable beds, well appointed rooms and bathrooms, and the kitchen is everything you could want for a short or long stay. It's in a wonderful historic district but this property is the most beautiful in the neighborhood. The owner has appointed the house with era appropriate furniture and decor. This is the perfect place to stay.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

The Vineyard Mansion is a gorgeous property with dozens (hundreds?) of beautiful antiques and high quality bedding and linens. Every room I visited had several pieces of art and furniture and light fixtures and decorations. I took as many pictures as I might have on a weeklong trip elsewhere! The kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of extra toiletries and anything else we might have forgotten. My husband and I really enjoyed playing in the billiards room. We both marveled at how comfortable our bed was, and I enjoyed the bathtub for a bubble bath! St. Joseph's is so cool with all of the history and mansions and architecture. We drove around the city and looked at all the beautiful old homes and just had so much fun, constantly saying to each other "Look at that place!" The giant murals depicting the city's history were really well done too. The people were very friendly. We visited both of the local breweries and the winery as well as the antique mall and several of the restaurants. We went to Kansas City to meet our son for dinner on Friday night, but the steakhouses in St. Joe's are excellent too. And they are one of the few towns remaining to have a Ground Round restaurant! That was such a pleasant surprise, bringing back childhood memories for both of us. We were going to visit the Jesse James and Pony Express museums, but they were closed due to the arctic weather the midwest is having this week. Oh well, next time. We did see many of the statues and artwork in the area and the giant locomotive. I ended up falling in love with and buying a piece of artwork from a local artist, "Clays Metal Art." I highly recommend a visit to St. Joe's and a stay at Vineyard Mansion!!!
