When we checked in staff did not make us aware that there would be an additional pet fee and only became aware of the charge when it appeared on my credit card statement. The hotel can not charge a credit card without authorization or sharing charges up front. In addition, when we checked in they gave us a room key for a room that was already occupied. When we entered the room we were surprised that there were already occupants. This was rather concerning. Since the hotel was sold out it took some time to get a new room sorted. We were incredibly patient with the staff, as we understand that mistakes happen. However in contacting the hotel after the fact, they argumentative and would not take accountability for their oversight. I would not stay here again.
