Great Stay - Clean, Freah, Roomy
We loved this facility when it was Wingate by Windham; we love it even more recently renovated and updated by Spark. The hotel is immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Our room was larger than most comparable hotels, making it even more comfortable. Our pet was welcomed and enjoyed his stay, too. Conveniently located to I 81 and downtown Winchester. Breakfast was just ok, not many hot options other than a microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich. Will happily stay again when passing through.

Far enough off the interstate to have only local traffic that is minor. Several restaurants nearby. It is halfway between my home in SW NC and my daughter's home in NY Hudson Valley. Have used this property for years going both directions at Xmas time. Last year, I failed to make reservations early enough and was forced to stay in a hotel that was right on the interstate. Booked early this year. btw, this was a Wingate by Windom previously and it was tricky making the reservations in November. That may be fixed by now.

It’s sufficient and basic. The indoor pool was closed in early November which was a bummer. The breakfast in the morning was good. Check in staff was uninterested in doing anything besides give out room keys and point to the elevator. She could use hospitality training perhaps.

The hotel was updated from the period when the location had been a Wingate,. It was stylish and immculatel cCean and well lit.There were several decent eating options within parking lots' distance, so very walkable. And most importantly - the reason we disovered this jewel, is because it was pet-welcoming and the room we got was perfect for pets, because there was laminate wood flooring, instead of carpet (comforting if planning for worst case scenario
