Painajainen invalidille
"Olin ollut tässä hotellissa 5-6 vuotta sitten. Silloin aika nuhraantunut. Vuosi sitten siellä pidettiin perusremontti ja kuvat uusituista tiloista näyttivät hyvältä. Sijainti Canterasin rantakadulla oli loistava. Varasin itselleni 10 päivän majoituksen. Koska olen jalkainvalidi ja liikun rollaattorilla varasin itselleni invahuoneen. Hotellissa on sellaisia huoneita 2 kpl. Minulla huone nro 307. Pieni huone jonka ikkuna katsoi valokujalle. Parin metrin päässä oli toisen huoneen ikkunat. Rolla ei mahtunut kunnolla liikkumaan huoneessa. Pyörätuolille se olisi ollut mahdoton. Alkuun huoneessa ei ollut sopivaa tuolia mutta monen yrityksen jälkeen sellainenkin löytyi. WC ja kylppäri olivat iso tila. WC istuimen vieressä tukikahvat. Suihkutilassa oli vain matala pieni metallinen penkki kiinni seinässä mutta ei mitään kahvoja auttamaan ylös nousemista. Pyyheliinat olivat WC istuimen käsinojissa roikkumassa. Kun huomautin siitä niin seinään kiinnitettiin teline pyyhkeille. Se rojahti lattialle heti kun sitä yritin ensimmäisen kerran käyttää. Hotellissa on 2 hissiä. Toinen oli epäkunnossa koko vierailuni ajan. Huomautin päivittäin mutta turhaan. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. Ravintolan ikkunoista mukava näköala rantakadulle. Henkilökunta yritti auttaa mutta hieman ”mañana” asenteella. Erityisen avulias respassa kuitenkin oli nuorimies David. Samoin Hassan. Kiitos heille ! Invalidina tuskin kuitenkaan menen tänne uudelleen. Läheltä löytyy parikin muuta sopivampaa hotellia..."
