The property was unique, roomy, but clean. But for the price it had nothing to offer, no dinning, no lobby, no bar, not close to any shopping or restaurants. Old town , nothing to do. Would not stay there again

Loved the atmosphere and the hospitality of the staff. Would have liked to enjoy a meal there, but they didn’t have a chef, so we went elsewhere-Shorty’s-not much around the site. Otherwise, charming and fun!

Unique experience!
We made a last minute decision to shorten our driving distance and stop through Amsterdam (instead of Albany) almost purely because of this castle stay. When we arrived, the receptionist told us all about the history of the castle and the Kennedy room. In the morning, we had a lovely walk on the very close by Erie Canal hike & bike trail. This was a very unique stay and a wonderful story to share with our friends and family—we stayed at a castle in Amsterdam on our honeymoon!
