Great location and room was fantastic. Great views of the canal. Yes, some parts could be cleaner, for example, skirting boards looked like they needed a good wipe and areas of the bathroom needed a better scrub but sheets were clean and room was great. Beautiful building and great decor. Room was really big and stunning windows. Staff were helpful given English isn’t their first language. Slight issue in the cat that was in the hotel near reception as my daughter is allergic but this was not the only place we visited that appeared to have a cat (a local cafe had one too). Overall, though would stay again. Not sure why there has been some negative reviews on the property.

You are staying in a historic canal house. No fancy atrium, no queue to check in, all very personal. From the moment you enter the huge wooden entrance door you realise you are staying in a historic canal house and you feel welcome and at home. The staff are all really friendly and always helpful. A spacious room reached by the original halls and stairs with a super comfortable bed and adequate facilities including a fridge. Location is excellent, 10 minute walk from Centraal station, ideal for museums and city centre but with no street noise. Would I stay again?....absolutely.

Fantastic location, good comfort at a great price.
Really lovely hotel. The room has presence and was v comfortable. All necessary mod cons were present including a free mini-bar, hairdryer and coffee machine. Bed and shower v nice.

A lovely historic hotel with spacious room and view over the canal. Convenient walking distance to the shopping precinct and Anne Frank House,and tram line to Centraal Station. While stairs are steep (not unexpected in such properties), staff assistance was available and appreciated.

This was another amazing spot in Amsterdam to vacation in. Its near everything including Dam Square and the shopping mall. . Just a tram ride away from the Museums quaters. The hotel had so much history.. justvknow that they have no elevator so the stairs may not be a good idea if you have trouble going up and down stairs. Overall i would stay here again on my next visit

There is no elevator/lift and the stairs are very steep-almost felt like climbing a ladder so luggage up and down was a bit of challenge. The staff helped us take it up. All staff members were very nice. Spacious room!

We stayed in the 3 bed apartment at the back of the property. The apart is spacious and has a living kitchen area upstairs and 3 bed 1 bath downstairs. There are also some minor stairs in the hall to the apart entrance. The property is well kept and staff are attentive. The area is lovely. We loved our stay. Thank you.

Helpful staff. Had a single room that was on the ground floor that was VERY nice. Plenty of room and arranged very well. Complementary tap with water (fill your bottle) gas or no gas & coffee/expresso maker. Key card for hotel entry & room. Walking distance to several tourist spots. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Horrible Property
Absolute dump. Bedding was filthy, walls were covered with dirty handprints, tv was not working, and the room was situated within steps of the very noisy reception. When asked for alternative accommodations the staff indicated this was “all they had”. . The room looked nothing like the photos, and more like a college dormitory. Definitely deceptive marketing, and certainly not anywhere near the expectation of a 3 or 4-star property. Big disappointment. Buyer beware!!

Good two bedroom option
Nice place to stay, lots of walkable activities, restaurants. We had two bedroom that was of an ok size. Was quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was a little tight/difficult as there wasn’t really any counterspace.

Wonderful stay
The room was very nice and clean. The hotel lobby is welcoming and had tea, coffee, water, and snacks available. The hotel was off of a beautiful canal and easy to walk pretty much anywhere.
