Beautiful serene property and gardens right down to the shoreline. Adirondack chairs near the shoreline. Save dock to sit and watch the lovely surroundings. Wonderful, helpful, kind staff.

DISAPPOINTING: Have been a long time visitor of this property, but condition and service have gone down hill dramatically over the past year or so. Service used to be welcoming like you were visiting with old friends. Now it's sterile like big hotel chains. Rooms have degraded. Our door stuck so badly I had to throw my shoulder into it to get it open or closed. Room smelled like cigarette smoke immediately walking in the door, and then when I pulled back the bedding to get into bed, an overwhelming scent of body odor filled the room. IT didn't used to be like this. Not sure what changed, but disappointing for sure, and probably won't be back.

Nice lakeside area to sit and relax, go swimming or kayaking. They have kayaks and canoes available courtesy of the Inn. Paddles life jackets also provided.

Wilson Lake Inn has a hometown feel with big-hotel standards of cleanliness, service, and amenities. The staff appears to treat each other like family, which only enhances visitors' stays.

Lovely Maine motel in Wilton

It's a charming motel with comfortable rooms on Wilson Lake. There is an excellent Italian restaurant down the street where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. It's a bit pricey but lovely.

Nice property overall. The room was clean except for something black in the sink. Maybe mascara? The drain was slow to that sink so that might be part of the problem. I just wiped it up with a wash cloth. Our outside door upper hinge was broken like someone had attempted to force open the door. I don’t think it happened during our stay. The other hinges were intact so the door locked okay. The lake was beautiful. The grounds were well manicured. We were visiting our son at UMF. It’s about 15 minutes from the university. Given the poor selection of property choices in Farmington this was a good option. Overall we would stay here again.

So very nice to be able to walk the garden area and down to the lake. Awesome views. A little trouble in the room, refrigerator wasn’t cleaned out from previous guest BUT when I reported, was cleaned promptly and properly and with a lot of sorries. My point to the story; IF anything is wrong, they are Johnny on the spot!!!!

It was all good except the front desk. I stood there for quite awhile while attendant didn’t even look up. He was on call but another couple was before me and also said he failed to acknowledge them. The call he was on sounded trivial, about weather and dining in area. It happened more than once with this guy.

Disappointed. Room photo and write up indicated that double queen room had a table and 2 chairs. This room did not. When I asked if another room with table ansd chairs was available , iI was told that the room I book was what I was given. The bath tub had black foot prints on bottom of tub. There was an exposed cut out in the wall behing the dresser. I later found the cover for the cut out, but it did not stay in.

First time this has ever happened to me

We had four rooms booked for two nights to celebrate my child's college graduation. Upon checking in to the hotel, we found an infestation issue with one of the rooms. To their credit, the management responded quickly and appropriately. Kudos on that part. Unfortunately, this beautifully situated motel on the lake requires a close inspection of the rooms and bedding upon check-in. I hate leaving bad reviews because they truly matter - especially to independent owners. I wish them well and hope that this was an isolated issue.
