I really enjoyed my stay there. I was traveling further south and this was the perfect stopping point. I felt safe (key to my review) and was able to rest well before traveling on.

The Super 8 was what you expect from this type of hotel. The only complaint is that on our room door and my adult children's room door, on the ground level, didn't have the extra security latch on the door. In both cases, the latch was not functional. One was broken off and the other was missing the main part of the latch.

It is very conveniently located off the highway. There is a Love’s station with an Arby’s next door for a quick walk for snacks and drinks. There is also a grocery store across the street.

They had a very nice clean room with 3 queen beds to fit our whole family. The free breakfast was much better than I expected, with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, in addition to typical waffle makers. Conveniently located by the interstate and 2 grocery stores nearby.

Traveling with 2 little kids

I was traveling from Seattle to Boise with my daughter and her husband and 2 small children. We could not make it the whole way, so stopped in Baker City. The hotel room was great because it had 3 queen beds, so the 3 adults could each have a bed! The baby could be with mom, and the 3-year-old could choose to sleep with dad or grandma. Very comfortable.

Good - will stay there again despite being noisier

I stayed here last year and had an excellent experience. Since then a gas station has been built next door. Although not the fault of the hotel, it increased the noise level at the hotel at all times. Also, it creates more traffic in the area. In addition, the room I had this time have very squeaky floors and the shower floor was also making a cracking sound no matter where we stood.

The pool and hot tub were nice. We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Car outside our room kept leaving and coming back and had a bad muffler.

I waited 45 minutes to get checked in. I didn't mind that so much, the person was new and didn't understand to help the 5 people physically in line instead of allowing a person on the phone wanting price guarantees to hold things up. Then the manager showed up and was barely civil. I did really start getting put out when I got to my room after 5 pm and it hadn't been cleaned yet. We had to wait on that before we could get settled. I would do everything possible not to stay at this property again. Nothing about it was pleasant. the price was ridiculous for the service and the condition of the room.
