Family fun
We took our family to eagles nest for the first time and it was fantastic! There is lots to do for kids with all the sports courts, hiking and ATV’s. They had a blast. The Mio Nido house was perfect for us. Cozy and comfortable with a great location on the property.

Thanksgiving Vacation
Spent Thanksgiving 2021 at Mio Nido with my wife, 2 young boys, and my in-laws. There was plenty of space for all of us. The property was absolutely beautiful and made for such a relaxing vacation. The kids room with bunk beds was so much fun for them. It is close to the North Pavilion, which is a fun place to hang out with a beautiful view. The windows in Mio Nido look out over a gorgeous view, especially in the morning as the sun comes over the mountains. We saw so many deer, which was very fun for the kids.

Mio Nido
This is a perfect location for two young families. We had four adults and 6 kids ranging from 1.5-11 years old. They enjoyed playing in the pastures chasing after deer and other wildlife. The sunrises are beautiful! We will visit again, love Eagles Nest!

Long drive from main gate
The property was nice and honestly the only concern was a 6 mile drive over a mountain to get in and out. The weather was rainy and foggy and made it difficult to drive. We have teenagers driving and older parents. There are many steps as well. This isn’t ideal for elderly parents but it worked.

Great views, hikes, well equipped home
We enjoyed a wonderful stay here over Easter weekend. The home and property were immaculate and well maintained. It also provided lots of extras that so many rental homes don't always think of like lots of hooks, coat racks, rubber mats for boots by entryways, bars of soap for each sink, plenty of pillows, etc. We found the kitchen to be well supplied with cookware and had what we needed to prepare all our meals. The grill and screened-in porch were a great spot for outdoor dining and place to gather. We very much enjoyed the waterfall trail at the North Pavilion. It was a gorgeous trail that was the perfect amount of adventure for our three boys. Lots of bridges and creeks! Also, at the North Pavilion we enjoyed the soccer field, basketball court and fire pit for s'mores, We easily ventured out to Boone and Valle Crucis for gem mining, shopping and dining.

Comfortable stay with Picturesque Views
My adventurous family of five felt right at home at Mio Nido. We have loved Eagles Nest for a while now, and know the area well. We have always admired this house from afar, so we were so excited to stay. We woke up every morning to deer grazing on the hills and beautiful mountain views. We were in heaven! We had everything we needed! We will stay again.

Beautiful house and views
The house is beautiful, and the huge screened in porch with gorgeous views was our favorite hangout. Screened porch also had a gas fireplace which was wonderful on a cool rainy day. The house was super clean, the downstairs was great for kids/ variety of ages. I liked the layout, but there are a lot of stairs if that is a concern for anyone, or as mentioned, the master is an open loft. None of that bothered us, and I think that is reasonably clear from the pictures. Plenty of starter supplies, beds were comfortable, and we used the Weber grill every night (well stocked with a back up gas canister.). The kitchen could use a few more pans and knives, misc utensils, but we got by just fine. If you have a large group and plan on cooking dinner you might bring pans. Has a Keurig for coffee, with plenty of starter k-cups. Loved the decor/builder details throughout the house. Master bath - heated floors. All showers were great. We enjoyed the house very much. House- 4.5 stars Management company was very kind and helpful with some of my initial questions after we first reserved the house. Lodges at Eagles Nest (3.5 star) beautiful and has potential. It would be nice if they did a better job with updates to current events. Maybe they do for owners but not for guests. Band on Saturday night was completely different than what was listed. Absolutely loved the concert/amphitheater and highly recommend-- just not what was listed on website. Also, they had pizza fresh made at 6, prior to the concert, but we found out by accident. It was very confusing as to whether the Winery was open yet or not (it’s not). Their website actually says “Fall 2019”... they could at least update the website. Maps were unclear (they tried, and I’m sure it’s a challenge with new roads, etc). There were supposed to be fishing ponds. The only one we could find had access blocked by large construction equipment. And they recently changed the policy that guests cannot being their own ATVs/ motorcycles because some previous group damaged property. I totally understand, but hope they can figure out a way in the future for guests to bring their own. Most of us are responsible riders. The only other option was to rent a UTV from Off Road Adventures on site. The cost of renting one was ridiculous/ difficult to justify when we own our own. I felt like I missed out by not having access to the riding. Eagles Nest has more work to do to optimize rental income for their owners.

Compact home, great views near
Home is conveniently located on the Eagles Nest property and and walking distance to the North Pavilion. House is new and very clean. Relatively tight quarters as the photos indicate. Upper master bedroom is open to main floor which may complicate things if people go to bed at different times - light and noise will be a distraction. Kitchen is very undersized and poorly laid out which challenges any meal prep or having multiple parties in the kitchen at the same time (ex. stackable washer/ dryer are in the kitchen which was a surprise). While there are plenty of plates/ bowls/ cups most other kitchen utensils were missing which was frustrating - renters cannot expect a fully loaded kitchen but this home is bare minimum so be aware (ex. two knives in entire house, only a single cheap pan, most cabinets and drawers are simply empty). Plan to bring your own stuff if you are doing real meal prep. Otherwise great house!

Gorgeous and clean
The home is spectular! It was one of the most cleanliness homes we've stayed which made it super easy to feel like home. The size fit Both families making it very comfortable. The little details were so thought out like stools in the bathrooms for littles to reach the sink. The high end Hunter Douglas blinds made us feel extra spoiled. But the view and atmosphere was out of this world. Every morning deer would be walking around. The only draw back was since the house is in the back of the community it was a long, windy drive so if you're prone to motion sickness it would be a challenge. But it's worth it. We loved every minute. Thank you for sharing your home with us to make amazing, lasting memories
