A wonderfully clean and centrally located hotel
The hotel was extremely safe, clean and staff was friendly. It was centrally located and easy to access. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again!

I booked for a specific room and that room was not available upon checkin so the score is low. They could not help me until the next day which was very inconvenient. Some staff members were better than others which is why the review isn’t 1 star, they did give a nice room for the next day which also helped. The surrounding areas need to be cleaned up better. Noise is just inevitable in that area but it also depends on the room location. You can definitely stay here safely but consider other parts of barcelona as the train is very good.

Solo Vacation in Barcelona
I traveled solo and stayed here for a few days. Perfect location within distance of the airport, port, and walking distance to almost all of the sites in Barcelona. I walked during my entire stay with no issues, and felt safe at the location. Breakfast was great, the staff was always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and nice. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Barcelona Colonial! It was close to some amazing dinners. The staff was so helpful. I loved the balcony. Breakfast was amazing, with so many choices!

Front desk was on top of things, very helpful with answering questions, getting checked in, dining options, hop on hop off bus, getting taxi. They were polite, courteous and appreciated. The apples were a lovely treat each day. Hotel is convenient to many places. Beds were comfortable. Would choose again!

I have stayed at this hotel before and returned because it was so nice. Great rooms, clean, updated, great service, great breakfast. Great location and walkable to the entire historic area or transportation readily available for further exploration. Very nice hotel!

Do not stay at this hotel. Terrible experience and amenities for the cost. $500CAD/night and they put us in a room with a weird creepy hole in the ceiling into some kind of crawl space, on the bottom floor of the hotel right next to the elevator, where we heard drunken tourists all night, and our only view was of a dirty alley filled with garbage. The fact that this hotel has 4 stars is a joke. I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels nicer than this. It’s in a good area, but there are so many other hotel options nearby to choose instead. Avoid at all costs. Your money will be better spent elsewhere.
