The location is good, there’s a metro right next to the hotel. The room was good in terms of size. The front desk staff needs to work in be more helpful to the guest. We had a problem with the safe box in the room, it got locked and didn’t want to open so we call front desk and they told my husband that they couldn’t help because they were too busy and couldn’t do anything. Are you kidding me how you tell a guest that ?? Our passport and other important and valuable things were in the safe box so how you dare to tell me you’re too busy to help and you can’t do anything? Worst guest service I ever experienced. They also need to improve in terms of cleanliness and/or inspect for any plagues in rooms, because there were cockroaches coming out of the microwave area.

I wanted a room in Berlin for myself and my two adult sons and this worked well. We had twin beds and a sofa bed which were all comfortable. The small “kitchen” area was adequate for making morning coffee and heating up our porridge pots. We liked having a toilet that was separate from the bathroom. The shower was good. A comfortable short stay.

Nice Budget-Type Stay in Berlin
Nice-sized room. Separate toilet room from bath. Plenty of closet/storage space. Slow and odd-working elevators, friendly staff. Extremely high price for breakfast (+22 euros!), small, cramped fitness room (but at least it had one). Housekeeper walked in our room one morning without knocking. Convenient location with a nice coffee shop and a Lidl grocery store just stpes away.

Portalet toilet and snarky desk clerk, but good
Would have been higher if desk clerk had not been snarky. Toilet is like a portalet. Bath and toilet are all plastic walls and floors.

Great location, hotel is fine
Staff overall friendly and helpful. Needed a couple of repairs done (eg leaking shower hose, clogging basin) which took a couple of days to do. Also housecleaning entered room even when ‘do not disturb’ sign was up (we weren’t there)… otherwise fine standard fare. Location is central and really accessible via public transport.

Good location! Close to public transportation. Easy to find. Clean room. Room service could be improved. They didn’t wash our coffee mugs. Didn’t refill the coffee packets and shampoo until we asked for. Room is small considering the price we paid for.

The cleaning was very poor. We first received a dirty room with hair all over the bathroom and bed. The replacement room also had some hair and dust on surfaces, and cups were dirty. Even after requesting cleaning everyday, they did not clean the room properly. The room was not vacuumed, and used cups not changed.

The room was a good size, comfortable bed (an actual queen-sized bed, not two twins pushed together.) Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, scrambled eggs were more like an egg loaf, but not bad. Overall, a decent option in a convenient spot.
