We had a great stay there and enjoyed the beach with kids. The service was great at the beach. The restaurant is just downstairs, offering a variety of options of food. There was also music band outside the restaurant, which makes the stay perfect.

Noisy room, cold lighting, and checkout problems
The room was directly under an HVAC fan unit that apparently served the entire floor or wing. It was extraordinarily and uncomfortably loud during the entire stay and could not be turned off. That was one reason (in addition to some other personal reasons) that we decided to check out early, even understanding that we would be charged for the second, unused night of our booking. But the early checkout also resulted in some additional and erroneous charges that we are still waiting to be resolved. All lighting in the room was extremely cold, bluish light that was unbearable - we only left a single warmer light in the small kitchen area on after dark. How can any property think that people find such lighting comfortable?

The property is large and the location is excellent. On-site parking was covered and quantity was sufficient. The pool area is nicely done, and having an on-site bar/restaurant is convenient. My real disappointment was with my room. I can only describe it as tired. Everything from the curtains to the carpet to the furniture was very worn. The mattress was among the worst I have ever slept on, complete with creaks, sags, and no support whatsoever. Overall, a strikingly average stay that I'm not sure I would repeat.

There are two items that we did not like. First, considering there were few guests, having a room overlooking the parking lot and air conditioner did not give us any reason to use our balcony. Second, while we were supposed to leave on Wednesday, my wife came down with food poisoning on Monday evening/Tuesday morning. We finally decided to leave at about 2:00 pm on Tuesday. I was charged the full price for the room for Tuesday evening. I realize that there would be a charge but I think that charging for a full day with someone leaving 2 to 3 hours after the departure deadline was onerous. And yes, I did explain the situation to the lady at the desk that my wife was ill and we would not be staying Tuesday evening.
