Stayed here before and gave it a favorable review. It does have a certain charm I like. Carpets still need replacing. Staff were friendly and efficient. I stayed 4 nights. No room cleaning or supply of toiletries after the first day. Television did not work, clerk checked it , Said they would get someone to check it, never happened. No television the entire stay. Breakfast should be referred to as snack. Not satisfied

Nasty Mess

Where to start? The lobby smells like cigarettes. AC did not work. We walk in our room to find an old box fan to keep us cool. Windows are screwed shut so you can't get fresh air. Carpets are filthy. No plugs near beds. Beds are extremely hard and the room smelled like cat pee. Tiny fridge & microwave. This is a very low quality hotel! It hasn't been updated in years and it's WAY PAST DUE! For almost $200 a night I would pass! The broken AC, box fan and filthy carpets were a deal breaker! I would not recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again. On top of that I was charged $200 deposit. When I called the front desk and she checked my booking she had the nerve to ask if I had booked 2 rooms when she could clearly see I only had one.

Convenient to the part of town I had business in. Unfortunately, the carpet was dreadfully stained & TV did not work. I didn’t even have to step beyond the front desk to realize breakfast would be better elsewhere. Drapes could not be fully closed.

Carpet was dirty and stained, loud air conditioning, dated and stinky. Only Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast. Nice staff but everything else was terrible.

It was okay!

We made a quick overnight stay in Carson City. This place has an interesting architecture that is quaint and kind of cool, though outdated. Our room was a little dated as well and I noticed some old staining on the carpet. The front desk staff were polite and friendly!

Here’s a revised version of your review: --- I'm a travel nurse and stayed at this hotel on my way to an assignment. The hotel is very old and nothing seems updated. The staff was nice, but they require a $100 deposit per stay, which was not mentioned on Expedia. This information should be updated so that guests are aware of the deposit in advance. The bathroom ceiling looked like it could fall down on you at any moment while showering. The beds were comfortable but lacked a bottom sheet—only a stained and gross mattress cover was provided. I had to take sheets from one bed to make my own bed. The air conditioner was nice, and the hotel has a parking garage, which is helpful since the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy. The first night was quiet, but the last night was terrifying. It sounded like there was a fight or some disturbance upstairs in the middle of the night that went on for a while, I left early that morning

This hotel is in serious need of updating. Carpets in the hallways were held down with duct tapes although there were signs stating they were in process of being replaced. Fixtures in the room were somewhat shabby and the carpet had burn marks from someone damaging them with a hot iron. Ironically, reading the reviews after my stay, another traveler mentioned his room had carpet had the same type of damage and their review quite old. I wonder if it was the same room. Breakfast was disappointing, basically coffee and packaged rolls. Used to be a nice(r) place, but has really aged. We get to Carson several times a year, but will not stay here again.

This is a perfectly adequate hotel for a quick overnight stay on our way from Tahoe to Yosemite. Nothing particularly bad. Carson City was like a ghost town with very few people out and about. But for just a quick overnight stay at a good price it was fine. Breakfast was simple and adequate.

Old but functional

This hotel is old, and in need of some updates. With that said, our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked fine. We just needed a place to sleep and shower, and it got the job done.
