This property is under renovations which we did not k or when we booked it. We must have got an old room because it looked dated and smelled. We left early because of it and the staff was gave us no hassle for it. Breakfast was good and pool was clean

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing from the time we checked in Thursday evening at 2330 . The gentleman that check is in was very friendly and kind. The breakfast staff was absolutely amazing and so helpful with all the guest needs. This was such a great location as well. We will definitely be back.

Overall our stay was fantastic. The quality of the room was very good. The staff was extremely helpful and customer friendly. Our only complaint is that we did not have good hot water. It took forever before you had hot water. Some of us had to take cold showers because of the lack of hot water.

Bugs. The rooms have bugs. Another guest told me he killed a few roaches. I had silverfish in my shower that I needed my children to use. The location is not worth the vermin. However, the staff was friendly and understanding.

My son woke up with a cockroach crawling on him in bed. There was another next to our suitcase in the morning and a baby cockroach on our hotel room door. I told the staff and asked for come type of compensation but they could have cared less so I changed hotels mid weekend even though I still paid for the last night at your hotel. It was worth it!!! Yuck.

The location is great! I used public transportation during this stay, and it is only one mile walk from the bus stop, with a sidewalk the whole way. I loved the shopping area around the hotel, with a walking path right by the water. Also only 3 miles from Isle of Palms. The only complaint I would have is that the shower head was only halfway working, so water came out at a trickle.

I am not a fan. I was very disappointed in the first 2 rooms I was given. There was a very strong smell and excess moisture in the rooms. I think there was mildew in the carpet. After 4 days I asked for a 3rd new room. This one was much better. I should have asked earlier. The staff was great and I will add that they are currently upgrading the rooms. That will probably make it better next time but I'm not not a homewood suites fan at the moment.

Weekend Getaway

We choose the Hotel due to the location and proximity to the beach and shops. However, the hotel room offered was very dated, subpar accommodations, bugs in the room, I couldn't take it, mold spots along the tub and shower, shower head was scummed and barely had water coming out. Very sad and not worth the money, would not recommend until this place is renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Decent place.

Wasn’t a bad place to stay. Close to the ocean. Convenient shopping around. However, the smell in the room was undesirable. The room was clean but the smell. The smell won’t stop me from staying again but I’ll definitely bring an air freshener to help.
