DONT STAY HERE
It was awful. Immediately upon opening the door to the room there was just an awful old smell reeking from the room so we opened the windows and blasted the AC to get the smell out. The beds are super old and uncomfortable. The couch is clearly old and smelled awful. The prices are way too high for that kind of quality. Stop putting millions into a parking garage and work on the hotel!!! Also there’s no breakfast! Look somewhere else before staying here.

We paid $33 for early check- in, which we were told would make our room available between 1-3. We arrived at 2:15 and were told our room was not ready. When we asked about our early check in the person responded that the early check in meant they had until 3:00 to have it ready - which makes ZERO sense. Very unhelpful and unwilling to try and help. We should get our $33 back -

Check in was very chaotic as there was a wedding and another large group. We were charged a $20.00 resort amenities fee, which we knew about. To access the amenities we should have received a fob of some sort. We never received the fob because we said we were going to the wedding and leaving early morning. We are being charged $50.00 for not returning a fob that we never received. I spoke with a front desk attendant and a manager and requested they screen security footage for proof that we never received the fob. They were not at all helpful.

The first room we had, smelled like mold. The tv channels did not work because it was a satellite dish which doesn’t work when it rains. Then at 5am the fire alarm goes off. They changed our room and the toilet had not been cleaned. It was dirty with poop inside the bowl and also under the toilet seat. We called front desk which they did send someone to clean it. It was one thing after another.

We really enjoyed our short time at Rod and Reel Resort. They were in the middle of construction to add additional rooms so that was a little bit of a bummer. But, happy that they will be able to accommodate more guests. We did have the fire alarm go off at 530am on Sunday… not sure what happened. It we were back inside quickly. Looking forward to going back when construction is complete. Had a very nice time at the outside bar/restaurant.
