This 2 floor home was built in the 1870s, so please be mindful of the original hardwood floors, and interior brick.

The bottom floor has a living room with a couch (sleeps 1 comfortably) large dining space, dedicated workspace, full kitchen, 2 seater bar, and bathroom.

Access to the back porch is from the kitchen, where you will find 4 chairs and an outdoor table. The string lights can be plugged in outside next to the door to light up this space.

The upstairs is where you will find both bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a queen bed (sleeps 2), and a master bathroom with 2 sinks, a shower, and jacuzzi tub. Fire up those jets! :)

The 2nd bedroom has a twin bed (sleeps 1), and a queen bed (sleeps 2).

Both bedrooms have spacious closets with hangers as well.

The guests will be able to access the entire home and the 1 car garage attached to the house. One door on the first floor is a locked utility closet.

The 1 car garage is currently in its original state from over 140 years ago. It opens and closes like barn doors and fits 1 sedan or SUV.

*If you drive a large truck it would be a tight fit pulling in from the alley, so we recommend using street parking.

Great location, aesthetically pleasing
Most of the lightbulbs needed changed, jacuzzi got cold before it was even half filled, stairs were almost black from dirt, button to turn on jaccuzi was under a stack of towels. Will not be staying here again but it was fine overall. Still disappointed in the lack of lighting.

Great host!
I would give this place a 5/5 stars. There are always some improvements to be made but it is a comfortable place to stay w/ a beautiful hot tub. I would recommend young people to middle aged people for this location. The stairs are very steep but they arent too bad. & It's right in the center of downtown, which is great but if you're from the country like we are and arent used to the outside noises, you should be prepared for that. But again, we were very grateful for our puppy being allowed to stay as well and a beautiful city scape in a nice area. The host was very responsive if we had any questions. Would stay again :) -Trisha

Location, Location, Location
We came to Columbus for just one night to go to the WMU/OSU football game. The location was very convenient and German Village is an amazing area in Columbus. It feels very European walking around the village and was very convenient to get to and back from the game. We did not spend much time at the house - ate out at a wonderful German restaurant the host recommended and found a First Watch for breakfast before heading back to Michigan. Will come again.

Charming vintage home
The location of the house was perfect for exploring the German village. The book loft is very walkable as are coffee shops and restaurants. Its takes a little longer to get to Schiller park but the streets along the way are pretty in summer and it feels like I imagine a European village might. The house is spacious. Bed was comfortable. The ac on the main level was a relief from the heat. Upstairs got a bit warm but the fans helped and the master bath is beautiful. The garage parking fit a Suburu outback.

German Village Older Home
The neighborhood was cute and quaint. While the host was kind a communicated well, we were disappointed with some of the details upon arrival. Keurig was broken (but host left a gift card to a terrific coffee shop), no broom or vacuum made it difficult to tidy up and numerous attempts to meet host for a broom never panned out. Sink was filthy from a broken/clogged garbage disposal. House is older but could use some updates and cleaning to keep up with Vebo's standards

Stopping through
Wonderfully large space on our way passing through Columbus. Convenience to stores and delivery options. Fenced in yard for ease with pups and potty time at night. Enjoyed the private parking & one of the world’s largest & most beautiful bathtubs ever! Found memories at our halfway point of travel. Would stay again if in the area!

Great house, great location
I really enjoyed my stay here, and the location can’t be beat! Right off the highway, in a quiet historic neighborhood. The garage happily fit my Honda CRV with room to spare, check-in was easy. The neighborhood is great for walking, with a fantastic park and several good coffee shops. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.

It was a lovely house with the usual Columbus parking. I will look for it again on the next trip as I would love to see more of that area. The only thing we had time for this round was the jet tub, which was excellent after the long drive.

German Village with pets is a win!
Suited 2 adults, 2 kids and dogs on last-min trip. Photos very accurate. Pros: fairly priced, dogs ok, wonderful location, comfy sofa, nice dining table, jetted tub (didn’t try), strong wifi, good appliances, welcome gift of local treats, coffee, toiletries. Texted a question and the response was prompt and helpful. SUV not a fit for garage, ample street parking a few blocks over. Cons: a/c issues typical of old house (icy 1st fl, warm 2nd) some deferred maintenance, uncut grass, only pan in the kitchen unusable (nonstick coating flaking off in my hands, the few pots were fine though). 2 deck chairs in the pics, but 4 in the listing. Little things. Good outweighed the bad by far. An important exception to us: a section of fence is missing near the trash bins so the dogs couldn’t be outside off-leash with us. On a more planned trip to come across this upon arrival would be frustrating. Overall glad we chose it, would’ve returned multiple times in the future. Unfortunately our son must’ve gotten a cut that stained a comforter he then put back on the bed after we stripped all sheets on the way out. We didn’t notice, and 2 days after checkout spent driving home I opened my inbox to a tone suggesting we knowingly hid a stain, a new damages fee marked overdue the very next day, and a push to pay or face escalation to VRBO. No pics. We’ll pay the $100 fee for washing the blanket but felt this could have been handled in a friendlier way. Kinda crummy after an otherwise nice stay.

Cute
A historic house with modern touches that is pet friendly. The location is great, quiet & walkable. It has a small but fenced in yard for the dogs to relive themselves. The house is small in appearance but each room is quite large and only the second bath is little tight. Kitchen and Master bath are modern. Our youngest son now lives in Columbus - I am sure we will be using this VRBO as our base for future trips.
