Manager was nice. Allowed us to inspect the room first. Room seemed clean but could use updated. A little property maintenance would go a long way with first impressions! (Tall weeds and lights out at both stairwells.)

We enjoyed the area and the closeness to downtown Nashville indiana. Staff was great and reminded me of going to a hotel when I was younger. Only thing I would change is possibly update the carpeting in the TV but other than that it was a great place to stay

We had to book last minute. Checked in and didn’t need my id to do so. The room smelled like days old cigarettes. The roof of the bathroom had a huge while. The back wall of the toilet was coming apart. The bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in months. The bed had small dried blood spots. Looking further in to the bed it had bed bugs. We slept in the car. Asked for a refund and was only refunded a days worth of my cost. Do not stay here!

The 2 stars are for the comfortable bed and the good (very hot) water pressure in the shower. The room was musty smelling with ceiling stains from leaks, a permanent mold ring in the toilet, fly poop on the outdated light shades, no light at door (outside) entrance, and the single curtain on the window didn’t even cover the whole window. If you’re desperate for somewhere to sleep and take a shower, this is your place, otherwise avoid!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Rented a room for 2 nights for a conference across the street at the event center. Checked in and paid for our stay. The room was terrible. We didn’t have much time to survey before our event started on the first night. We dropped off our suitcases and headed over to the event center. Later that night we arrived back to our room. My wife used the restroom, and we noticed the toilet didn’t flush. Old feces came to the surface. We asked for a plunger and tried to “fix” the issue - no luck. We began to survey the room. Missing drawers to the dresser, the outlets didn’t work, the light switch turned the TV off, and when we showered the following morning the tub didn’t drain. Keep in mind the toilet still had a strangers turd floating in the bowl. That morning we decided to try to find another place to stay for the night. We found one a distance away, but we were willing to drive extra for toilet that flushed. My wife returns the key and asks if we could have a refund for the night. He tells her “no” since it was “pre-paid.” I go in - needless to say after a bit of back and forth, a threat to call the building inspector, I got my refund for the night.

No Hot Water/No Internet
We didn't need luxury accommodations. Salt Creek Inn was much less expensive than other hotels/motels nearby. We just needed a place to sleep, shower and surf the internet. However, we had neither hot water, nor internet service. We were able to sleep, however.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the key in the lock did not work properly, there was no hot water at night but there was in the morning. There were few electric outlets, no kleenex, and no ice.

The old school vibe is great, the location is great, the sheets and towels were clean. Old and musty smell permeates the rooms however. Needs some sprucing up. But pets are welcome, and that sold us.

I like that there was a McDonald's right across the street from the hotel and there was nice and quiet you didn't hear other people from other rooms being noisy but also I did not like the fact that the first room we got put in had bed bugs and when I went to the front desk and told the guy he switched his room and act like it wasn't a big problem that they had bed bugs in that room

One night business stay. Front desk was very nice and very friendly. Smooth. Was greeted in my room with my name and loyalty was recognized electronically. Comfy bed and all appointments were in order. Definitely stay here again.

The location was great and the room was clean! Everything else was substandard. It felt like going back to the fifties! no chairs to set in, walls were patched but not painted! Light single bulb hanging from ceiling! No amenities, not even ice bucket! The only thing possitive was location and clean. My husband became gravely ill and we had to leave quickly! The man at desk didn't even offer a partial refund! Would never stay there again!

This property needs to be torn down. Our first room was disgusting, toilet hadn’t been cleaned in months it appeared. Asked to be relocated and while the second room was better it was still rough. No smoke detector, just an exposed junction box. If you’re considering staying here don’t. Pitch a tent or stay in your car.
