Lovely hotel for a stay over when heading north or south. Comfy bed, clean room, great breakfast and very good staff. Would definitely use again as I used for the Great North Run

lovely hotel but shame about the closure of the ba
the hotel has great character and the rooms and service were good sadly the trip was ruined by the early closure of the bar i was there for a wedding and a lot of the guests were very upset by the early closure of the bar

Nearly perfect
The Bannatyne hotel is perfectly located for a great night out in Darlington. With a 5 minute walk your in the town centre. My room was clean, bed was comfy, staff were really nice and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and tasty. My one and only criticism is that there Menu doesn't cater for people who just want a lite bite like sandwiches and chips, or wraps or quick salad. They only do a set Menu.
