Low quality venue and rooms, but the aarea around the hotel were awesome. Not many options to stay around the area, but recommend visiting just for Folkstone Harbour experience.

Was one of the cheaper places in Folkestone. Great convenient location near the harbour and a short uphill walk to the Town. Suitable for the purpose of getting your head down for a few hours, bathroom and room clean. Breakfast wasnt anything to shout about, but stopped a gap. Place just feels a bit dated, even saw the Congo go through the bar one night... Sort of reminds me of a caravan park.. No complaints about the place.. just wasn't that appealing for me.

Good enough.
Probably gets a bad rap but I found it fine given the price and for how long I was there. Room seemed clean, view was awesome. Reception was efficient. Massive hotel probably seen it’s best days but I’d go back.

Lack of control of noise outside hotel lobby.
Very happy with our stay but the noise from other guests at the hotel shouting outside the lobby doors that went on until 3am kept us awake so that by morning we were exhausted from lack of sleep. Surely something can be done to stop this. It spoilt our stay.

The room was ok. However the drunk person kicking and banging on a door to another room and screaming was not desirable. It took the staff a very long time to deal with the problem. Ruined a lot of peoples sleep

The hotel is dated and needs lots of improvement We’ve been a few times and decided to upgrade to premier double room hoping there was nicer modern rooms but the room was worst then some we’ve had The balcony was held up by scaffolding all rusty and not looking safe and concrete base full of bird poo. The furniture and decoration is poor standard and dated. The room looks like it needs a proper clean and painting Been to lot better accommodation and not paid these prices To top it off the car park was rammed and no where to park even though they charge u £5 a day when u check in Will not be returning to this hotel again even though in a good central location

Needs an update very unclear in places and the place looks more like a prison with locked doors into each wing it could be renamed? Very poor for the 20 th century

The best is the location, however that's it! The staff are rude and blaming visitors for keeping access cards near phones, while it isn't true! Every day we had to go to reception to get cards changed as it didn't work. Funnily this happened after checkout times each day, though we had 10 days stay. Also the room had only one plug and when asked for extensions they asked me to buy it. I had to charge from coffee shops as we did not have more than one plug in the room. They are far from knowing what customer service means as no apology whatsoever. No name badge either so hard to even complain. Hotel full of dogs who constantly barking so you can forget the good night sleep. Water not going down from bath, window is so steamed up that can't even see outside. I would never book a hotel in Grand Burstin, needs serious improvement!

The hotel was budget but I found it very tired and worn. There was a constant group of foreign men hanging around outside all the time and as a woman alone I felt uncomfortable walking through them all when I returned to the hotel in the evening. I was told it is used for asylum seekers which didn’t surprise me. Not somewhere I will book again
