Loud Drunks

First off, the staff were friendly, and the room was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was ok too. My problems started after the drunks left the bar at 1am. They immediately went to the pool and were extremely loud and obnoxious. This combined with the acoustic effect of the pool to the rooms with glass doors… it was awful. I still managed to fall asleep. I wish this was the end of it. One of the drunk guests proceeded to donkey kick the door to the room about every hour to wake his companion up. I presume from the noise that followed he did not have a key and wanted more booze from the room. I cannot overstate how loud this was. I sleep like a rock. I stayed here while passing through, just hoping to get some sleep and get back on the road. I stay in hotels along 94 a couple times a month. This was my worst experience ever. I will not be staying here again.

All around very great experience! Nice staff, food & drinks were delicious and fair priced at lounge in hotel, room and bed were nice and comfy, and big plus plenty of parking for larger vehicles! Definitely will stay again!

I liked that there was a bar and pet friendly but didnt have hot water in the first room, phoe was there with no cord. Had to call from my cell. They moved me rooms and when i asked for my energy drinks from the first room they were gone. No lights worked in second room. I stated to staff my issues and was only told they would take the pet gee off. $25. I do not recommend this hotel

(Standard king room) Staff was pleasant, accommodated my ESA dog (waived pet fee w/ documents), property is a little dated but well kept, large tv w/ cable channels, mid size fridge & microwave, if staying longer I'd opt for king suite.

Hotel has indoor pool which would normally be great except for the weekend that we booked happened to be at the same time as a youth basketball tournament. Which meant that the pool area was more like a water park. There were tons of completely unsupervised kids in the pool and surrounding mezzanine. It was beyond obnoxious. I have no problem with kids having fun around a pool but this was over the top. The parents could care less and the hotel staff never once came in to try and quiet things down. Our family tried to go down and sit in the hot tub, but that lasted about 5 minutes when about 6 kids decided to use it as the swimming pool, as their parents sat and watched. We had kids banging on our door to our room and yelling and screaming til 1130 each night Besides the noise and horrible behavior around the pool. Our TV didn’t work, the fridge in our second room leaked water all over the floor. We spoke with the front desk who basically just told us sorry there’s nothing we can do. I’ve never written a review for a hotel but this will be the last time we stay at the Grand Dakota.

Roosevelt Grand Dakota

The room was nice, but I couldn't control the temperature and I could only get the shower up to lukewarm. I may have just gotten a bad room, but I'll look elsewhere next time. There was trash under my beds, which caused me to wonder how thoroughly they clean each room.
