The hotel is off the beaten path and sits above Dingwall and anyone taking mass transportation to Dingwall should be aware that taxi and bus service to the property is limited. If you are carrying light luggage, and you are healthy and feel inclined, you can walk the 20 minutes from the train terminal. I cannot overstate that the walk is all uphill! Dingwall is very quaint and small, so there are only a couple of spots to get food or a pint of ale before 3 pm, but the property has a nice pub and food prices are relatively comparable.
All staff we had contact with were pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean except for some black hair in the bath. The bed was generally comfortable other than an indentation half way down the left side. Plenty of parking. Our dinner was nice and just the right amount.

It's still a castle
Breakfast was a good choice, easy parking. Room at the very top. Dated and furniture was broken on a unit. Expect to climb stairs as no lifts but staff offered to help.. should have said yes!.
Negative was cancelled check in by 3pm yet cannot get anything to eat until 5.30 in the bar.. so not great as travelled thinking could get food on arrival.
Beautiful castle with lovely food and good selection of whisky in the bar. The four poster room was lovely and spacious. Lots of stories about ghosts but no sighting seat !
We booked a 2 night stay in a cosy room as part of our anniversary celebration. The room is 3 floors up and no elevator so beware if you have a lot of luggage. The biggest issue was that there was no water pressure. The shower was practically useless and even though we raised it with reception there was nothing they could do. Needless to say it was very disappointing as the staff did not offer any alternative. Also there are no phones in the room so if you want to speak to reception you need to go 3 flights down and up. Definitely not a 4 star as advertised in Hotels.com
Sad it was only overnight. Gem of a place. Tastefully and imaginatively furnished with Victorian and contemporary style decor. Spacious. Great bed. Chandelier. Delicious food. Great staff. Would recommend anyone staying in the Innverness area to stay here. Great value for money.
We had a wonderful stay at Tulloch Castle! We were greeted by Paul when we arrived. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the property. He was entertaining and his commitment to his job was evident by the fact that he was there even thought it was his day off. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The balcony off our room was the perfect place for a nightcap and coffee in the morning. The views of the city from the balcony were stunning. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of food. We can't wait to return someday!
