Assigned dirty/used room

We checked in at 12:30 am and there was no one at the desk. There was a hand written number taped to the front desk but the number said “no voice mail has been set up.” I googled the hotel number and called and a young man showed up at the desk. We were given a used, dirty room (bed not made, towels on floor) so immediately went back to the desk. It was again deserted. After calling and waiting for 15-20 minutes… I used a phone on the wall to call the operator. A different young man showed up and was extremely rude and would not answer any questions about why someone was not manning the desk. He just assigned us another room. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was the best of all the hotels we visited on our trip. The negative was the room cleaning help who took a personal item from a former visit. Called hotel the morning after I noticed it was gone. Manager very nice but I definitely know I left the item but the cleaning person took it. Unhappy as it was a gift from my late mother.

SHADY HOTEL GM!!

Hotel GM entered my room at 8:15 in the morning unannounced with no knock!! Needless to say, this caused quite a scene. All of a sudden, I see a husky man coming through our door (which was absolutely shut but not latched). We had our dog with us and luckily I was able to grab her by the collar as she was barking at the guy. The guy quickly backed out of the doorway once he saw / heard the dog. I went down to the front desk to find out what had just happened. The guy ended up being the hotel GM and said he thought the room was unoccupied. After I pressed him on the fact that he should have announced himself verbally and by knocking as a best practice, he only then apologized. La Quinta is a Wyndham brand and I can’t believe they don’t teach their GM’s best practices to avoid such situations. Terrible way to start your day. There is another recent review on this hotel that mentions people walking into an occupied room. I would say female travelers should beware.

We had booked in advance and the front desk staff didn’t find our reservation, so we had to find our confirmation to give in order for it to show up. That was the only issue at the start. We would have loved to be given two keys as well. Otherwise, breakfast was good and the stay was comfortable.

Do not stay here

Absolutely horrible! The first room they gave us had people in it. We walked in on them at 12:30AM! The next room only had a king (we had reservations for 2 queens for our family of 4). The room was absolutely filthy. Bedding had hair and lipstick on it. Bathroom has visible liquid stains on the walls. We ended up leaving and driving in the middle of the night for another hour to stay at a different hotel.

Arrived at 9:30 pm. Room had not been cleaned. La Quinta had no more rooms available. Had to get refund going thru Expedia which took approximately 35-40 minutes. Had to find another hotel at 10:30 pm. No apologies from La Quinta. Expedia was very courteous and refunded my money. NEVER AGAIN FOR LA QUINTA

Nice and clean, with a pretty full breakfast. Staff was very nice -- not least of all the housekeeper, who found and turned in the Apple Watch I had left charging in the room when I checked out, and the manager who FedEx-ed it to my home a few days later. (Thank you!)

Need to get good TV with some stations!

Everything was good except the TV. Nothing but ads and other crap. With much searching, I found some local stations, but the rest all charged extra. Cheap TV. Had to push off to turn on!!
