Could have been perfect

Fantastic room (paid £10 extra for superior room - well worth it), fantastic location, sea views, four poster bed, very comfortable. Two easily fixed things let the hotel down; a) lounge bar was advertised as being open till 1am Fridays and Saturdays but they decided to close at 11.30 as they were quiet (just as we were settling down for a drink). Had we known earlier, we could have gone out for a drink. b) The breakfast was equal to ones that I remember having in 'Greasy Spoons' 20 years ago - everything overcooked and showing signs of having been standing around for some time. This would not put me off staying again as the plus points win and, overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Argyll.
