Charmingly rural
Pros:The friendly staff and the location.
Cons:A bus schedule in the common room would be of great help even if you need a car to get to the hotel anyway.
Location:About a 10 mins drive from Santiago el Teide. Beautiful hiking area with famous Masca and Los Gigantes nearby.
The simple stone buildings with a fireplace in every room quickly grew to our hearts and became our homebase for our hikes and trips in the South/Soutwestern area of Tenerife. Located at the border to the Natural Reserve of El Teide (the volcano) it offers the perfect place to stay for everybody who's looking for peace away from bustling cities, fresh air and a simple life. If you're expecting luxury you won't find it in form of a swimming pool or spa offers, but the surrounding nature and the warmhearted, friendly team of the lodge make up for it any time if you let them.
