I was fatigued so I checked in and made my way to the room. My newly administered key did not work. The elevator is very slow. I wiped down and sanitized the most commonly used door knobs, toliet seat, tub,remote, sprayed down the bed ,placed my personal sheets on it, lysoled the linen chair and sat down only to look up and noticed the smoke alarm was wrapped with what appeared to be papertowels. I took the stairs down to the front desk and consulted with the front desk clerk. He was concerned and responded to the room promptly. We were both concerned ,amused and confused. I went out to eat returned back to the room ,showered and noticed a freaking roach crawling on the nightstand. I couldn't rest my head with ease terrified a roach would crawl on me while I was sleeping, so I cut my overnight stay short ,packed my belongs and traveled to a local store. I purched large trashbags, place my luggage in the bag ,sprayed bug spray inside the bag and tied the bag up in my trunk. I traveled further south, booked an air bnb, purchased clothing and toiletries and enjoyed the remainder 4 days of a business trip.
