Great condo
Condo was only steps away from the beach and had everything you need for a home away from home. Loved the extra towel hooks in bathrooms and hallway (it’s the small things!). Complimentary beach service was great and the beach attendant was so nice and friendly. A very polite young man! No lobby here but really didn’t one with check in info texted and emailed to you. Overall great stay.

Property is a must!
The location was perfect, directly on the beach only steps away from the ocean. We have five children ranging from 2 yrs to 9 yrs and we had zero issues. Very convenient and easy getting from the property to the beach. Also, a large balcony with tons of room. Large sliding doors and windows across the entire condo! An umbrella and chairs are free which are a must! You have the option of renting a paddle board which we did. The condo also had some kids toys which my kids loved! Everything was perfect and we would definitely go again.

We are a family of 7. Kids ages 13-4 and we all had a wonderful time. Great size kitchen and living space. Perfect waterfront views with a huge balcony. White powdery sand beach with crystal clear water. We will definitely be back!

My family had a nice stay at this property in July 2023. The unit overall is well taken care of, clean, and close to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to cook. Be aware, there is no Keurig so make sure you bring old fashion coffee. The property has a great view of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit is right down the hall for the stairs and elevator. There was plenty of parking. We received 2 beach chairs with our stay and it's nice not needing to bring your own. We had an issue with our freezer, we called and they had the issue resolved within a few hours. My only complaint is there isn't much to do within walking distance of the condo, and there isn't even a sidewalk in front of it. My favorite thing about this was how small the complex was, it made parking easy, no wait for the elevator, and being that it's a small complex the beach wasn't super busy! Thanks for a great week.

Fabulous 50th birthday at Surf Dweller 205
My family and I had a WONDERFUL time at Surf Dweller 205. The Brooks and Shorey team was fantastic with communication and questions. The kitchen was amazing (very well equipped!). At some point since booking, the Keurig machine must have broken because they had a regular coffee maker upon arrival and we had brought a large bag of k-cups but the Publix is nearby. Very comfortable living room and kitchen furniture. I was worried about the master bed based on some comments from previous guests but it was great. The bedroom furniture, bathroom accessories, amount of outlets, etc. were all much appreciated. All so very nice! There is definitely a dryer problem that needs to be addressed (takes forever to dry a regular load). But so glad to have the washer and dryer (just too much time spent doing small loads). I was not surprised though based on previous comments. The porch is very nice but the stools looked like they were falling apart so we avoided them. But there was plenty of seating. The large orange chair was super comfortable!! Excellent AC. Excellent views. Very short walk to the beach. Two beach chairs and umbrella were readily available every day. Great attendant. The one elevator was broken but the adjacent one was operational. The condo is very close to the steps and just one flight up. The community carts were a lifesaver for both the days we arrived and departed. Thank you Brooks and Shorey team for a fabulous 50th birthday celebration. Beautiful condo!

Wonderful!
We have been coming to the this area for several years but this condo was our favorite. There was more than enough room for our family of four. Also, this was the best stocked rental that we have experienced. My kids loved the commercial waffle maker, I liked that there was a crockpot and the bonus was a keurig coffee maker. We also enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella with the condo. Wonderful balcony, beach and facility. We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay!
This was one of the nicest condos we have stayed in. It was so well stocked! My kids loved the commercial waffle maker. Bedrooms are roomy and the view was amazing! We miss it already. We weren’t able to check in until 5:20. That was a pain after the long drive.

Perfect Location and Size
Check in was super easy and the unit was ready prior to 4! The location was perfect. The building is not too large so there was room for everyone to sit beachside. The umbrella and 2 chairs were nice- just wished they were out longer. Loved the 2 queen size bed in the kids room. Plenty of dishes and glasses. Great food within driving distance. Highly recommend Stewbies, McGuire’s, and Burrito Del Sol.

Perfect!
We really enjoyed our recent stay at this property. The unit was spotless and had all the amenities we needed to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The large balcony was a plus and the view were lovely. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were roomy as well. The kitchen was attractive and had everything we needed. Overall this was one of the nicest units we have rented in the area . Everything about the condo was as expected except for the balcony furniture. Usually this wouldn’t be a big deal but I was very aware of balconies and furniture due to taking my elderly parents on vacation and knowing that this is where they would primarily stay. There was nothing wrong with the balcony furniture, it just wasn’t as nice pictured. The condo is perfectly located and beautiful. We will definitely try to book this condo again next year. Brooks and Shorey are awesome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very roomy and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you needed. We enjoyed the location of the property - it was more quiet than a crowded, large condo facility - yet close to everything. We needed a couple of extra blankets - and housekeeping was quick to answer our needs.

The condo was great! It was updated and very clean. We've stayed at the Surfdweller many times throughout the last 20 years and we definitely consider this unit to be one near the top of the list. We look forward to staying there again in the near future.

Spectacular View
I wanted to take my mom on her dream vacay to the beach in Florida. The view, access to water, and balcony were my most important must haves and that is why I chose this condo. The did have/ did not have: Did have generous space. We felt very comfortable and there was plenty of parking. Did have keyless entry-big bonus for beach goers! No need to keep up with keys. Did have full size washer and dryer-the dryer did take a really long time to dry a small load towels (like hours). Did NOT have beach towels, bring or buy your own. Did have ice maker, careful though as the door panel sometimes fell off when using. This snaps right back on but is startling when it first happens. Does have tons of dishes, cups, kitchen equipment-just supply food. Does have keurig duo which is nice-the carafe side does make a bit of a mess when pouring so careful there. Did have starter shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry powder, dishwasher powder. Did NOT have dish soap, hand soap, any type of cleaner wipes/spray. Did have ceiling fans! Did have great AC. Did have screen doors-these look like they are coming undone so I did not use them. Primary bedroom has super-soft mattress...you will love or hate. Looks like box spring, mattress, then thick foam mattress. I did not sleep well on this but I like a very firm mattress. The view from here is great though! The secondary bedroom was not used-it was very dark and uncomfortable feeling. It also had not been cleaned properly. Maintenance responded within 10 minutes. Housekeeping responded within a little more than an hour. Beach service: I saw chair/umbrella setup as early as 7:30am. Go down early if you want a spot! Several front/center chairs were “reserved” all day even though no one sat in them til after 2pm. I asked one family how they reserved them and was told they paid the attendant $100 per chair, some paid more some paid less but that seems to be the practice for guaranteed seats. The condo does have a couple of lawn chairs but they appear to be rusted out and broken-check before use. I was able to get a spot: 1st day at 8am-two front row chairs, 2nd day 9am -the last 2 second row chairs. Front row is somewhat uninterrupted view of water (people do take chairs and put in water right in front of you), second row is hearing the water but definitely not seeing. Make sure to take shoes-the boardwalk gets really hot! There are showers to rinse off before going back to condo.

The Beauty Is On The Inside
Great sleeping arrangements, EXPERTLY decorated. Everything is up to date. Short walk to the beach - 50 yards? Good restaurant choices nearby and a 15 min drive to Destin. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking gear. The only downsides are the master bed is easy too soft and the entrance won't wow you.
