Guests must arrange transfers (surcharge) from Male International Airport to the property, which is 35 minutes away via seaplane. To guarantee transfers, guests must contact the property with their flight details at least 3 days before their expected arrival. Guests must pay the seaplane fee at check-in. Daily transfer service is offered by Trans Maldivian Airways/Maldivian Air Taxi for flights arriving from 6 AM-3:30 PM and flights departing the Maldives from 9 AM-8 PM. Where can I start! Our trip to Fushifaru Maldives was EXCEPTIONAL! It was our first time in the Maldives and we went for our honeymoon for 6 nights in an overwater villa in December 2021 from the United States! This resort makes you forget the long flights and makes it so worth it. From arriving to Male airport to going to the lounge and the beautiful seaplane transfer and views, and then having a host and everyone being super helpful and nice. Totally recommend this little piece of heaven. It’s very clean and very cute and you will have the time of your life. Thank you Chelsea for being the most professional and best host, he took care of everything we needed anf he was one call away always! all the amazing staff makes you feel like family. The food at the buffet restaurant is amazing and they have live cooking stations every day and different shows at night. We had a chance to be at the Christmas Gala dinner and it was fabulous! The hosts, waiters and waitresses, chefs and everyone on the island welcomes you and greets you. Thanks for this unforgettable stay and for making our honeymoon the best ever! I’m hopinh I didn’t forget anyone but Vimal was our waiter every day and he was amazing remembering what we liked! And of course the amazing team that we’ll miss so much Tami, Meera, Aman, Sumon (chef), Sampath, Nazir, Maz, Neelam , Dhira samir and Ratesh! We also recommend doing a photoshoot with Hisham! This is a place to make family memories. It’s natural beauty is amazing. The staff is very kind and always there to help. Yes there are small niggles to improve but they should not cause you any hang ups. We went diving and saw eagle rays, lots of sharks (all friendly), turtles and even a manta ray late in the season. The food in the buffet restaurant is decent albeit some items are Luke warm and over cooked. The à la carte restaurant is great. Suggest you book here for dinners. The dive school is top notch. My son did his Padi here. Overall we highly recommend the place and it’s kind people. The new over water villas are top notch. One more: don’t think of money while you are here. Think of the priceless memories.

Not worth your money

Be aware when you pay that hefty fees for the all inclusive option. Only a few items in the menu are included in the all inclusive and everything else is charged. They put an asterisk to indicate this and can easily go unnoticed. The service is non existent. If it rains you have to walk in the dark to go get your food from the buffet by yourself. And there are snakes! The room is nice though, which you can get in any other resort in Maldives

I am very picky and am in the customer service industry. What stands out with this property is the facility itself, the beauty, the food, and best of all the people. In my research, you get a lot for less. I would recommend anyone and everyone here. Get the half board package and a water villa (pref #305 because it is the most private.

You got to come here!

This place is amazing. The blue sea can be seen directly from my bedroom. The service crews here made out stay so fabulous, worry free and peaceful. They will try and accommodate to any request that we ask for. The food is yummy! The sea sports Instructors were very patient. If I ever go back to Maldives, I will surely choose Fushifaru again.

This is an absolutely beautiful property! Every suite is private & beach front. There are only 49 rooms, so you really feel like you're on a deserted island most of the time. The rooms are gorgeous, all with huge outdoor bathrooms, with 2 showers and a bathtub and 2 sinks. All rooms have large private decks with table & chairs as well as lounge chairs on the deck and on the beach. We had a sunset, private pool room which was so nice! The pool, the bar and the restaurants are all excellent as well. However, I really struggle with this review because I would have given it top marks on all categories, except for 2 failing marks: 1: When we first arrived, there was a great greeting with music and fanfare, but then we were whisked off and told that our room with private pool on the sunset beach was not available, even though we had booked it months in advance. Instead we were offered full board meal plan (upgrade from the half board that we had paid for) to compensate us. The whole thing was not handled very well, and after much negotiation (I think they moved some someone to a water villa in order to make it work), we had one night in the wrong room and then were moved to our booked room for the rest of the holiday. The problem was how this was all handled and that it made us feel very uncomfortable and awkward around many of the staff for the rest of the holiday. 2: The pool in the new room took 2 days to get it working properly, as the pump kept breaking down.

The island was beautiful but I imagine all islands are in the Maldives... what made Fushifaru exceptional was the staff. They always knew our names, remembered our drink orders, and went out of our way to find anything we wanted. They even found a guitar for me to play on the beach on our last night....Afeef, Yen, and Ahlam really made the week.

A wonderful short stay at Fushifaru

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Fushifaru. The island and resort are beautiful and the water villas exquisite. Our only complaint was the quality of the wines on offer. Poor wines at extortionate prices. The service in the restaurant at breakfast was also very slow and somewhat disappointing. If they could sort these things out, it would be a first class resort.

We went to Fushifaru for our honeymoon. Our experience at the extremely private resort was nothing short of amazing. From the our first step off the seaplane we couldn't believe a place like that exists on this earth. The staff were just lovely, and would do anything to make our stay a dreamy honeymoon. We'd like to that our dashing and awsome host Chelsea, who along with the hard working resort workers made our trip a dream. This locally owned resort is Maldivian owned and opened in October 2017. The management are excellent but the staff are still learning the ropes. The big down point for us was the lack of a house reef which appears flattened.

Amazing Resort

Like others who have visited I tend not to write reviews but as this is a new resort I think the world needs to know about it. Let's not mention the seaplane transfer for now but the hotel, resort and staff are amazing. The welcome straight from the seaplane is exotic and from the first step the staff are at your beckon call. The villas are super clean and contain all modcons, the outdoor bathrooms are amazing and with the exception of a few ants (to be expected at the least in such a wonderful environment) these are kept super clean. We didn't have hot water on the first night but a quick call to reception and it was sorted nearly instantly. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and I recommend a pool villa and sunset side, these are close to the pool and dive centre whereas the sunrise pool villas are close to the buffer restaurant. The sand on the beach is white powder but a little coarse inside the island, my wife wore flip flops but I haven't worn footwear since stepping off the seaplane. The food is amazing, the buffets have great variety and top quality, I fully recommend half-board at least. Pool is 25 meters and never too busy, lots of amazing coastline to explore. Entertainment isn't well publicized but great to get involved, always worth popping into reception to say hello and see what is on offer for the day. Bar snacks are pricey as you would expect for this type of resort and strictly standard limited to burgers, salads, pizzas, sandwiches ($35 top price)
