+++Update to property status and Bed changes, etc. Property has been updated with two (2) king beds in place of the two queens. Only one twin bed will be available so the house will again be limited to five people.
Recent reviews have prompted me to make statement regarding the property.
There are some hundred odd plus reviews over 17 years that this property has been available. There has been many interpretations of what what it is. Its a lower apartment located at the rear of a split level building. If you have trouble with normal steps, then it may not be for you. They are just normal, code steps, approximately nine of them. They are not steep. Additional lights for later arrivals have also been added to the numerous ones that are there. I am 65 years old and go up and down them every day, with laundry, trash etc. with no problems, but if you are handicapped, or mobility limited, it may not be for you. Just trying to be frank about it. I dont want you to be misled.
If you are looking or a moderately placed property with in the parameters of two bd room 1 bath, this is a good option. Its centrally located and easy to get to the park and everything in Gardiner. I think over 17 years there has been one noise complaint, thats it. If you are looking or a more costly place with easy views outside your door, there are dozens in Gardiner, but there pricing is much steeper. And given the cost of fuel, food etc in the area, the property is a good alternative. Many families have found it to be a perfect location for their Yellowstone vacation. So please keep that in mind as to the longevity of the place on the rental market and the overall review totals.
Cleaning method consist of wiping of surfaces with bleach type cleaner. All towels and linens are fresh for each stay. Floors are all swept, then mopped. I sometimes clean a day or two, depending on guest arrivals, a day or two before you arrive,

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO CONSIDER.. Do you want a Hotel with busloads of people up and down the halls, hoards of people at the continental breakfast, long hikes from parking lot to rooms, and then, in some cases, multiple flights of stairs to get to room. OR, a quiet, multi room apartment for up to 6 people, place to sit and relax, cook your own meals if you wish, or close enough to walk to go out to eat, all at a rate much less than the standard hotel.
UPDATE: Carpets all replaced, bunk bed replaced with standard twin beds. Much easier for children and adults to slip in to bed.
THE SILVERTIP vacation rental is an located in Gardiner MT. (Property no longer has a restaurant) Gardiner is the original entrance and the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Don't fight the huge bus loads of travelers at the hotels, long luggage carry and noise up and down the hotel halls!! Come where you can relax. The property offers a comfortable apartment with 2 bedrooms and a one bath with sleeping capacity of up to 6.
The unit also has a den and kitchen area. Access and use of the front or back deck areas. Front decks offer street and people watching as well as dining, and a High crows nest deck in the rear overlooking the Yellowstone River and into the town of Gardiner. Fishing, hiking, camping, wildlife viewing and all the activities that Yellowstone National Park has to offer are just minutes away. Please be aware that the property will be open and cancellation will apply, regardless of whether the park is open. The only instances when that is not the case is if Gardiner is not accessible by Hwy 89 from Livingston and from the park at the same time.
