It’s a GPS nightmare trying to find this place. Every town in America has a Lakeview Drive. After driving 11 hours, it was not a welcome challenge. Not really the lodge’s problem I realize, but when your GPS sends you a half hour to the south, and you turn onto a long dirt road that has signs posted, “This is not Skyline Lodge. Private property”, that’s very telling as to other travelers having the same problem. Orbitz compounded this problem, by only listing the address, and not the phone number of the lodge.

We picked this place because they were advertised as having a bar on site. Bar appeared to have been closed for an extended time due to no liquor license. This would have made a big difference in our selection.

Nice mountain scenery. Beautiful during the Fall. Staff are not very friendly or welcoming, especially in the restaurant area. Bar manager rude and presents as if she doesn’t like her job. A lot of rules and staff not very accommodating with the exception of Russell. He was super nice. Adena was a nice waitress, too.

8/10 Overall We enjoyed our stay. Great value for what was offered The property was safe, staff was friendly, restaurant and bar were nice for the evenings. Lake property is beautiful. They seemed to be renovating a couple of rooms which is nice but wasn’t disruptive at all. We parked directly in front of our door but if you’re staying in a lake view room you will have to walk for parking, so keep that in mind. We weren’t a fan of the mattresses and the walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear all noises but nothing too bad. No real breakfast, but free muffins and coffee in the morning. Overall we would stay again if in the area!
