Beautiful property and rooms are large and quiet. Parts of it are rough around the edges. It seems they are completing a renovation and haven’t gotten everything finished just yet.

This place is a very neat spot to stay. The grounds and the mansion were cool. The issue we had was none of the amenities were available. No dinning, no pub, no pool, no hot tub. If we knew that nothing was going to be open we would have booked somewhere else.

Room 229 the bed smelled like vomit. It was deep in the mattress absolutely disgusting. This is not a matter of changing the bedding needs a mattress change or shampoo.

Looks great in photos. The place could use a few updates. Carpets in the halls had a not so great smell and looked pretty dirty. I room want in great condition. Breakfast was 2/5. Staff was very kind and responsive.

There are almost no services at this hotel
there was no fitness center or pool as advertised. There was very little bar service one night and guests were not allowed to charge drinks to room or use a charge card- cash only. There was no live tv service in room only recordings Rooms had many outlets not working ie charging phones close to beds. Rooms veered 1/4 mile from lobby. Breakfast didn’t have decaf coffee . unstaffed buffet There was no food on premises other than breakfast.

Secluded location reachable by car or car service. Expansive piece of land with trees indigenous to the NY. The room was old style but clean and somewhat renovated. Dark room 324 due to trees but also because the windows need cleaning in the outside and black, heavy drapery. I could smell greasy food permeating into my room from adjacent room. The staff was kind and helpful.Included breakfast which was just ok.

Property is being renovated and it is needed. It may be very lovely in time. There was a 16th birthday party and kids were screaming down our hall from midnight till one when we called front desk. They did take care of the issue quickly.

I grew up in Glen Cove and this property has always been an iconic place where I wanted to stay! It’s now my 3rd time! Everything from the front desk employees ,the bellhops, waitstaff staff, to the chamber maids were exceptional! I’ll be back in August!!

The original portion of the building is beautiful, but all POOLs, fitness, SPA were CLOSED and it did not say they were on any of the external sites nor their WEBSITE-truth in advertising was not followed!!! This was a huge disappointment. The rooms were "almost" redone, but our electric outlet in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall and the sink was slow. So no using appliances in the bathroom. The hall carpet is dirty and needs to be replaced. They have weddings Fri, Sat and Sun, but we did not hear them in our room, which is great. The customer service was excellent and the food for breakfast was very good, despite no meat (smoked salmon, though). It is a HUGE hotel with 300-400 rooms and it takes a while to walk to your room (like 15 minutes, so if you have issues walking, this isn't for you).

This was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. This is in no way a luxury hotel. The pictures are old and the place needs updating. Check in was 4pm and i got there at 5pm and the attendant looked me up and down and told me that my room wasn't ready. Then proceded to check me into another room. When walking down the hallway, there were watermarks everywhere in the carpet and the place smelled wet. Then I went to the room and it wreaked of mold. I called them and told them that the room smelled like mold and they told me that they were fully booked and that they had no other rooms. I told them i would leave because i wasnt going to stay in a moldy room and that i would report them and it was then they said they would "upgrade" my room to a "luxury" room. The second room was basic at best. When we got there the pool was closed (which was only the ourtside pool considering that the indoor pool was under construction) and would he opened the next day. The pictures on the website are far different from what you see in person. DO NOT WASTE your hard earned money at this hotel. It is not worth it. If i could give zero stars i would. Such a disappointment.
