TL;DR: Star Hotel Route 66 in Williams offers a budget-friendly stay with a great location, but thin walls, a tiny bathroom, and missing interior lock were major drawbacks. Star Hotel Route 66 in Williams is a centrally located, budget-friendly option with ample parking and convenient access to downtown businesses. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated the raised bed design. However, there were some notable downsides. The walls are very thin, so I heard a lot of traffic and noise from other rooms. The heater didn’t work well, and the bathroom was extremely small. My biggest concern was the lack of an interior-only lock on the door, which had been removed. This became a serious issue when someone was incorrectly assigned my room while I was sleeping, leaving me feeling panicked and unable to sleep well. While the location and price are positives, the security issue is something that needs addressing.

It's a historic place. Good location and clean rooms. Lots of car models displayed in the office, which demomstrte the motel's history. The room is some cold and the air-conditioner's sound disturb my sleep that night.

It is tough not to give this rustic hotel 5 stars all around, but it is aged. The condition for age was good and the property very clean. The heating units are extremely loud and located above bed. I am from Southern AZ, and not used to the cold, I found myself in need of extra blankets in the middle of the night. Ask ahead. Which reminds, I noticed a "extra person" charge of $30 on both rooms I booked. This after I stated 2 adults/2children. That is my only complaint, as I feel this is very deceptive. It was questioned, but not removed, because "others" before lied. For that reason alone $60.00 overcharge, I will not be looking to stay here anytime soon again. Situated right on Route 66 with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. I booked through Hotels.com and the Owner/Operator claimed they could do nothing about the charges.

Staff was very kind and helpful, room was clean and beds were comfortable. Very quiet location and walkable distance to stores annd restaurants and a fun adventure park. 10/10 will be coming back!

The motel was clean and relatively comfortable. It is a little dated, but affordable. There are many attractions within 2 miles, so it was the perfect location for our family trip. Water pressure was great and the water was hot. Overall, a great stay.

Everything was great the one and only complaint was the heater unit was noisy, however, it would not keep me from staying there again. It is walking distance to everything. Beds were comfortable. 15.00 pet fee which is cheaper than many. Fridge and microwave are handy, too. Overall very happy with it.

Nicely located. Room was a bit small but simple. Lacked a bottom door sweep but used a shirt to block any cold attempting to enter. A room located close to the busy street life of Williams was accomplished.

It was very cold when we arrived (it had snowed the previous night). The air conditioning was extremely noisy but we needed it on to warm up the room. We walked down to reception to ask for some help. The owner came up to the room and told us that all the rooms & all the hotels in the area have the same problem because the air is too thin!! No other solution was offered. We had stayed the previous 2 weeks in a variety of places at much high altitude (therefore presumably even thinner air!!?) and not had an issue with any of the air conditioning units. We could clearly hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. Bathroom had cracked sealant and was in need of replacement. Expensive for the quality of the property.

We checked in and only stayed one night. The rooms was simple and nice and we slept well. The restaurants near by are so close it is silly not to walk. It’s a cute little town with a cute little hotel. It just fits the script of Williams. The kind lady who checked us in was kind and gave us suggestions on what to do and eat. If you are only planning to sleep there it is ok. Wi-Fi was available but, spotty. Room was adequate size although the shower head was pretty low, it was hard for my six foot frame to fit. Location was good, plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
