nice location, lovely bed, good sized room. I had the chicken salad from their bar menu and that was pretty decent too, only down side there was the slightly stale bread. all in all a really good stay, and id definitely go back, especially at tge last minute £54 price!

The Cumbria Grand is a palace of a building overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Kent estuary. One senses its boom days are over, but it survives rather well, embracing wedding parties and coach tours. My twin room had a breathtaking view of the estuary, looking over to Arnside. The bed was extremely comfortable; the shower worked well. The breakfast buffet was very good indeed, with a fine selection of hot items, including black pudding (a favourite). I didn’t dine here but the dinner menu looked pretty good. The hotel is in impressive grounds - with its own woodland walk (recommended, but boots required at this time of year). If you walk down the hotel’s longish drive and cross the main road, you’ll see a bridge over the railway leading to the start of Grange promenade and a five-minute walk to the railway station. You really couldn’t wish for a finer setting and if the hotel is just a little faded, it hasn’t lost its charm. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings, big downfall was our room. We stayed in a double room that was very dated, wallpaper coming off the walls, the lift was broken and we were on the 3rd floor! I don't think we would stay here again.

The grand hotel is a beautiful old old lady and her character is very charming the building itself is in need of a whole new make over which it deserves so much , this however did not spoil our stay and enjoyed exploring this tired magnificent building . Staff was very pleasant and helpful. You just need to spend your profits on renovating this amazing building.

I like the Victorian tranquillity and character of the Hotel. Also, we loved the views and peaceful setting. The bar was nice with friendly helpful staff and good entertainment. The breakfast was excellent, with very good choices.

We had a peaceful stay in this grand hotel on the edge of Grange-over-Sands. Easy walk into the town along the seashore Promenade. Staff were very friendly and helpful in storing our pedal bicycles securely overnight. Good buffet breakfast to set us up for outdoor activities.

Mary

Hotel is somewhat dated and is used by coach tour companies. The decor is tired but the bathrooms are clean and the bedroom linen and towels all fresh and clean. Lovely views from the bedrooms at the back of the property and lots of parking. Hotel is situated in woodland set back from the road.
