Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

We loved the proximity to the west gate of Yosemite. Even though a hotel is close to a gate, it’s still a long drive into the valley. That’s for any hotel around Yosemite though. We loved our stay at the lodge and was able to take hot showers, relax in the hot tub, and get a good nights sleep after our extremely long days of hiking. We would venture over to the lucky buck cafe and get breakfast before heading to the park and would grab dinner after the park. Stay here, you’ll be glad you did.

Great place to stay near Yosemite Big Oak Flat entrance. Room was better than expected and office attendant was wonderful. Would definitely recommend for anyone or group.

The room was old and apparently with no fundamental maintenance, chair is worn out and the door latch is broken.......room hygiene is also a concern, air conditioner is loud and crazy. The room is not small but can't never be described 'very spacious', I was cheated by this untruthful commercial saying. Very disappointed though staff is good.

It’s a nice room with very friendly staff. The bathtub could use a little update and deeper clean as a piece was missing and it was pretty dirty where that piece should have been. The restaurant next door was good and it was quiet when the window was shut and couldn’t hear road noise.

Great hotel! Clean, comfortable and some very pleasant amenities. Only complaint is comfort of the beds. Very small, on the hard side and the way the sheets are on them is odd and uncomfortable. Otherwise this is a fabulous place to stay alone or with the family. It has everything you want/need at a hotel and in your room.

A perfectly fine "old-style" motel. Had everything required, with an excellent diner very close by. Only drawback - very expensive for what you get. I get it, it's Yosemite, but still, close to $300 for a very ordinary room by modern hotel standards is a real negative.

The staff were friendly & accommodating. Room was clean with comfortable bed and the first set of comfortable pillows since starting our road trip a week ago (we had stayed in 2 other hotels)

My worst experience ever. When we got into the room, the room was heavily fill with scent of air freshener. Discovered next day, it was use to cover up the smell from the bathroom. Also there’s so many moldy area in the bathroom, my kids refused to shower in it. We also notified the management, our coffee machine is broken, but they did nothing about it. Overall the worst experience ever.

Overall wonderful experience. There was a gentlemen at the front desk, maybe the owner or manager who was a little abrupt not only with me but another customer took. However there was a lady when I checked in who was wonderful. But other than that wonderful property, great location away from the hustle bustle of the in park hotels. Drive in to Yosemite was also lovely.
