Short vacay
It was a nice place. The maid service needs to do a better job as mouse droppings were found on the rug as well as in the drawers. A few of the appliances in the kitchen had not been properly cleaned. We simply cleaned them, but I notified the manager. He stated he would tell the cleaning service.

Quiet Family Weekend Getaway
If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy nature then this is the cabin for you. We had a lot of family bonding time on this trip; from hiking to exploring Gatlinburg. While at the cabin enjoyed grilling and making s’mores. The owners we very thoughtful and had sleep sound machines in each bedroom. This was very helpful because at night it’s so quiet you can hear whenever someone walks or talks. We even had the neighbors friendly dog Boomer come over to play. The only downside was there was not a washer or dryer on site and the kitchen wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. I have a small car and it did struggle to make it up the gravel road.

Relax family time
Beautiful place but not for taking kids. I think it was my fault for not reading the review and learning about driving to the cabin. If you plan to leave the cabin and get to know around, this cabin is not for you. The last part of the drive to the cabin is significantly challenging and doesn't take small kids.

Relaxing, peaceful getaway!
We loved being in this very nice and cozy cabin in the mountains, away from everybody. All though the drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge was a 45-60 min drive; the cabin was worth the drive time. We are definitely coming back the same time next year!!!

Good but small changes could make the difference
Property was nice. Good scenery. Very private. Main issues were upstairs bedroom doors are hard to shut and latch and the soaking tubs jets were moldy.

Not the place to stay in the winter
The road to the cabin is not safe if the weather is bad. Not much room for a family to gather and sit to visit. It’s a beautiful cabin but if you are there to go to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg as we were the travel back and forth is very long

A beautiful, remote, house
The house itself is great, it was very clean, well decorated and had with a nice view. If the purpose of your trip is to go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, the house is a bit of a drive from there. If all you want is a quiet vacation in the mountains, this house is perfect. If you want to explore the surrounding cities just know you'll be driving over an hour.

Perfect place for a secluded getaway
The cabin was in perfect order. Plenty of amenities provided by the owners and thorough check in and check out instructions. Can be a bit tricky to find the first time, definitely need awd or 4wd to get to without having a hard time. Cabin was beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to spend our family vacation. We even met the mountain dog Boomer, who was the nicest dog you’d ever meet and our dogs loved him.

Peaceful destination
Cabin was as expected for the most part. Clean with a good lay out. I will say like other have there is only one tv and though there is internet it is only guest access and no one could gain access due to low speeds it provided. Second disclaimer is if you have a low sitting vehicle I would not attempt the road to get to the cabin and I would also try to arrive in the day time your first trip up the mountain. With that said it is a beautiful cabin and if weather cooperates outdoor activities as well as area attraction should keep families plenty busy.

Not what I was expecting
There’s only one tv. No cellphone reception. Only one shower everyone has to share. The jacuzzi was horrible I didn’t even want to chance getting inside of it. Way too far away from the city. Won’t rent it ever again.

Really nice place
A little tough to get to but soooo quiet. Pretty much as described with a lot of newer amenities. Amazing amount of kitchen pots and pans and dishes...saw some popcorn but no popper lol. It rained our entire weekend but we didn't care. If you have trouble getting the Roku to pop up, check behind the TV and see if it is plugged in - someone had disconnected it. The electric fireplace is amazing!

Quiet Getaway
Cabin was overall a great getaway. No close neighbors and very quiet. It would have been helpful to know how steep and narrow the roads are to get there. Well stocked and clean. Great porch which we spent a lot of time on. Not many “flat” areas for our dogs to roam. We did notice last guest left a bag of dog poop behind. And there was a lot of bees nests on the second balcony including a large hornets nest. We enjoyed the quiet beautiful location with views of the mountains and sounds of nature. Took about an hour to get to Gatlinburg. Grocery shopping was easy to find in Newport which was about 20 minutes away. We would recommend it for those looking for a quiet mountain getaway.

Lovely mountain getaway -- we'll be back!
This is a stellar property! We absolutely loved everything about it. There was lots of space for our family of six -- we loved the outdoor dining area and sitting on the porch. We would recommend a AWD or 4WD car for the drive up the last several miles, but that said we had visitors who were able to get up the hill in a front-wheel drive car, so perhaps we're just flatlanders! In any case, the location is incredible -- close to Hartford but way removed from the day-to-day. Guests should know that a beer or butter run will take you 30 to 40 minutes round trip! But we planned well and brought lots of groceries from Newport. The cabin was clean, peaceful, organized, and well-thought-out. Communication was top-right. A real gem -- honestly, one of our best VRBO experiences yet.
