The place was very good for the price. The indoor pool room was a fascination for my 7yr old son. The only thing is the handicappped room had a metal projection from the side of the bed that hurt my foot so bad the night of our stay that I had to lay down. I spoke with a repair man passing as we left and he said he would take care of it. Otherwise nice stay.

We evacuated from Hurricane Milton with my elderly parents. When we arrived we were told that our rooms were on the second floor and that there was no elevator. Other rooms sold out. I barely got my mother up the stairs, and this meant she didn't want to go back out until we checked out and helped her back down. Additionally, we found the tubs/showers in both rooms to be extremely slippery. There was one grab bar on the outside of the tub, but nothing on the inside to grab for safety. I have never made reservations at a hotel that was so inaccessible, without a warning of no elevator. I usually do not request handicapped accessible rooms because we do not want to take a room from someone in a wheelchair, who absolutely cannot get up the stairs. The surrounding area was adorable, but I would choose a more handicapped-friendly hotel.

Sorry but not a good stay. Toilet backed up within 10 minutes of arrival. We saw a cockroach come from behind bed headboard and crawl onto the nightstand Location was great but wouldn’t stay here again

We enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for something new and updated this is not the place. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was excellent. About a 5 minute walk to downtown Helen. If we ever come back up this way, I would definitely stay here again.
