Loved our experience at The Smith House! Literally right next to Dahlinega's downtown square and convenient to all the local attractions. Will be staying there again when our travels bring us back to Dahlonega!
We very much enjoyed our 1 day stay. Will definitely stay here again! The staff was wonderful. Super friendly and welcoming. The meal we had in the restsurant was delicious...best fried chicken ever!!!

The Smith House is well known for their restaurant, but seem to open and close it on a whim. It turned out to be closed when we were there. Room 3, where we stayed, had an AC that made a high pitched whine when it turned on, making it difficult to sleep at night. The continental breakfast turned out to be a fruit cup so we went out to breakfast
No plans to return any time soon, will find a different property.
The sheets on the beds seemed used.
The blankets for extra warmth could be more cosy. The room was noisy from the road traffic the AC was really loud very disturbing and the bathroom was extremely tight.
Other than that the room was nicely remodeled.
Beautiful and quaint property! Had a lovely time. Walked to the square and shopped, ate, and drank to our hearts content. Then had a great night’s sleep with no wake up alarm. 😍
We loved the charm of the 100 year old property from the many original stained-glass window panes to the creaky, winding staircase leading up to our floor of rooms. All of the staff were kind, as well. I only wish there was a small microwave to go along with the small refrigerator for leftovers. I would certainly stay here again.
There was no microwave, refrigerator or hangers in the closet. Bathroom was minuscule. Bed was long past it's replacement date. There was one chair in a room for two people, and no reading light. The room was extremely overpriced at $227 a night for what it offered.
