Completely revitalized 1930's Craftsman Bungalow in Hendersonville Historic Neighborhood outfitted with contemporary Mission style furniture, modern amenities, and all of the comfort of home. Steps to biking/strolls at the local Oklawaha Greenway, breweries, coffee, restaurants, and Downtown Hendersonville. Just a quick drive to hiking, scenic views, Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, Tryon Equestrian Center, wineries, and all that Western NC has to offer.
The Braeburn Bungalow gets its name from a variety of apple, which are the well-known crop of Hendersonville!
The house is a tasteful mix of original Craftsman bungalow detailing and modern touches. Textured and plastered walls complement modern accents--such as the ship lap walls, subway tile, marble countertops, and barn door. Several original items remain in the house--from the glass fronted cabinets, to the fireplace, to the living room doors (with original, wavy glass), to reused original windows as accent pieces.
The house is literal steps away from the 7th Avenue Historic District, which features eateries, a coffeehouse, connection to the Greenway and parks, and soon to be FOUR local craft breweries. Venture for a couple minutes more, and you've walked to the absolute charm of Downtown Hendersonville. Downtown is full of additional restaurants (ranging from delis to fine dining), to cideries, to MORE breweries, to a handful of local craft and antique stores.
The entire main level of the house, and house grounds, will be available exclusively to the guests.
Guests will have total privacy, as hosts are off-site. We will strive to be as responsive as we can be throughout your stay. Intermittently, we may be on the premises for routine yardwork or to access the basement, but we will let you know ahead of time, and there's a dedicated entrance to the basement so that we don't disturb your stay.
There is a basement, but it is intended to be Owner-accessed only for hospitality supplies. The rear shed is off-limits to cars and guests--due to structural concerns.
The Braeburn Bungalow is situated in Cold Spring Park, a National Register of Historic Places Historic District.
You can learn more about the type of history and type of homes by Googling "Cold Spring Park Historic District" and follow the first link. AirBnb won't allow me to link to it directly.
The neighborhood largely consists of charming single-family homes.
