Nice Extended Family Getaway

Our extended family enjoyed everything about the home. It suited our needs completely. Our check-in process could have been better. We were prompted to provide our arrival time several days in advance, which we provided and met in accordance with the published guidelines. However, we still had to wait over an hour for final cleaning and disinfecting. There was also an unusual and somewhat unpleasant odor in the house upon initial entry. We were told it was the disinfectant that had just been used and it should disipate within an hour or so, but it lingered until the next day. If I am required to provide and arrive within a window of time, shouldn't I expect that the property will be ready in that window??? Otherwise, this was a great trip.

Nice house for a family group

The house had plenty of room for our group of 9 (one infant in a pack-n-play) and could have accommodated two more in the bedrooms. The location was great with a beach walkover at the end of the cul-de-sac and driftwood beach a short drive or bike ride away. We would book this house again!

Great place to stay, would love to return

We really enjoyed our stay at the Island Retreat. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and the location was great. The beach access point on our street didn’t have steps that went all the way down to the ground, so we used the next street over, which is a short walk. We loved seeing the deer walk around the neighborhood. We also made use of the screened in porch. It was pretty warm but the fan really helped cool the area. We also enjoyed playing a few of the games they had on hand. The main house and suite can both use a DEEP cleaning. There was a lot of dust on lamps, blinds, light fixtures, etc, especially at the separate suite. Replacing the bathroom rugs would also go a long way. One had stains on them. Overall, this is a great find, and we would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a great location with plenty of room to spread out. We hope to be back!

Very Nice!

We had a ball with my our family! We had 8 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 kids. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for us. All appliances are up to date. The only problem was the room with bunk beds never really cooled down but there was a portable fan that kept the kids comfy. The house was very well taken care of and clean. The beach is close. Nice boardwalk down to the beach. Bring your golf cart or bikes and cruise the island. We had plenty of room to park 5 cars. We will be using this place again. I don’t have a problem highly recommending this place to friends. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Island Retreat is so very well stocked with all you need. Just bring your clothes and food. Only one block from beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Great time

We enjoyed Island Paradise a lot. The location was an easy walk to the beach even with 2 wagons (1 filled with beach items, and the other filled with 3 kids). The house had plenty of space and the decorations were really beachy and cute. We would definitely rent this again. Our only complaint for the whole trip was the tide. High tide fell mostly in the middle of the day so it made the beach plans a little difficult because when tide is high there is no beach to sit on, the water comes right to the rocks. So just be mindful of the tide schedule when you come out!
